Mysterious Client Investigation! Part 2

Few hours ago

Shinichi and Kogoro are now in the car trying to find a way to solve the case to save Ran and the others

"But what does TAKA 3-8 means..." said Kogoro serious
"Hmmm..." said Shinichi as he looked at his note

Shinichi look at the note serious and realize something. He then quickly looked into the map

"Occhan, go to Takashima town" said Shinichi
"Eh?" asked Kogoro surprised
"3-8 can be read as '3 no 8'. Also, 3-8 equals -5, if we take out the equals sign, it becomes 3-8-5"
"I see, third district Takashima town then"

After they arrive to Takashima town, they realize that there's no 3rd district but Shinichi get off from the car and goes to the police

"Excuse me, have districts changed around here due to redevelopment?" asked Shinichi to the police officer
"Ah! It became Minatomirai, there was a 3rd district" said the police
"Can you please tell me where it is?"

Time Skip~

They arrive to the place that should be their destination, which to be a hotel ruin

"But... Do you really think this place is somehow related to the case?" asked Kogoro confused
"We have to believe it is" said Shinichi serious

Shinichi look around the hotel serious but his mind still thinking about Conan whose now being a hostage in Miracle Land. Kogoro notice him and then pat his head

"We will solve this case and save them. Don't worry, your brother is smart enough to handle this kind of situations" said Kogoro serious

Shinichi eyes shot up by Kogoro's words since he rarely compliments Conan which means Kogoro is now trust Conan for protecting and preventing Ran from going out of the Miracle Land

"You're right... Thank you Occhan" said Shinichi with a small smile

Both of them are now looking at the hotel ruin and suddenly a man comes out from one room and said that he has been living in the hotel ruin for two years and so they began to question him about suspicious things that happening in his two years time. He did say about a big bird flew by and at the same day, there was a weird car parked outside in the morning but changed in the evening. The other thing is that a real estate agent came and closed off the basement

The two detectives gather the information and Shinichi goes to the basement to check. He wants to enter, but it was locked. He tried to barge in, but it was no use, so he called Kogoro to help him. With their power, the door opened and Shinichi look through the whole room and found a bag that has a licensed gun and woolen ski masks.

The moment they want to leave the hotel, police officers try to arrest both of them, thinking they are accomplices of Kaitou Kid. As on cue, the phantom thief suddenly appeared in front of them. Shinichi look serious as he senses that the phantom thief may have something to do with their case. After that, the police officers quickly take them to the station

At Yokohama Police Station

Shinichi was questioned by other officer and then Inspector Megure and Inspector Shiratori arrived

"Kudou-kun!" said Inspector Megure surprised
"Finally, keibu. Get me out of here" said Shinichi unhappy
"You really work hard, Kudou-kun"

Inspector Nakamori also comes with them and they see Kogoro is being questioned by the police officers. All of them just sigh
