"Aur kaisa hoga tera prince charming Khushi?"
(And how will you describe this prince charming of yours Khushi?)"Who needs a prince charming Lavanya? Humein to hero se zyada villain pasand hai."
(I like villains more than heroes).Somewhere in Gurgoan in a huge five-star hotel lobby walked a man clad in a blue three-piece suit surrounded by his men who wore a completely black outfit. While the rest of the hotel staff stood still, on high alert, knowing very well who was this VVIP guest...
My best friend giggled out loud as we sat in our college garden enjoying a sunny winter afternoon.
"Really aur looks ka kya?"
(What about his looks?)"Flaws make us humans La."
She nodded sarcastically. I rolled my eyes at her response. Kami to sab mein hoti hai. BIG DEAL.
(Everyone is imperfect). In the same hotel, a new staff member gasped in fear watching one white eye of their VVIP guest as he removed his shades. The contrast in the coal brown eye and white eye terrified her. But her fellow worker pinched her hand making her aware that their one mistake could be fatal...
"What else Khushi?"
"His actions should define passion."
"Passion? As in?"
I smiled at her innocently. To make my point I stood up and began moving backwards.
"Jaise ki jab woh aage ayein toh hum peeche jaayein."
(Like when he moves forward I will retreat). The same VVIP guest along with his men in black walked inside a hotel suite where a man stood in fear surrounded by a few more men clad in black. The white-eyed man kept advancing with a cold and harsh look on his face, terrifying the man who retreated as if a synchronized dance of death awaited him...
"Seriously Khushi?"
Grinning at her I kept walking backwards till I felt a tree tickling my back. Pointing my finger towards my body I declared openly without a shame.
"Haan. And he should like pinning me to a wall or a tree, in fact, electric pole bhi chalega."
Now Lavanya Kashyap started laughing like a hyena. I pursed my lips in annoyance. She thinks I like living in a fantasy world.
...he kept moving ahead till the man retreated and his back glued to the wall. Pinning him the VVIP guest punched the wall cracking it in the process. The frightened fellow was sweating bullets now. With a sigh the white-eyed man pulled out a gun from his coat pocket like this was an everyday occurrence for him...
What's so bad about being a little dreamy? Huh. Whatever.
Controlling her laughter Lavanya gesticulated the idea of zipping her mouth. Knowing that I had her attention again, I began my tale from where I left off. I turned a little red imagining the scenario. A shiver ran down my spine as I desperately wished this to be my reality."Aur sabse khaas baat. He will hold me by the nape, pull me towards him and...give me a loud SMOOCH."
I made loud kissing noises making her fall on the grass holding her stomach. It did feel a little funny. Unable to help myself I too began to guffaw with my best friend.
In the same hotel, a loud gunshot was heard. The staff shook in fear. Everybody knew who did all this. But none dared to stand up and visit that suite. An hour later the man walked out of the hotel along with his men as if nothing terrible took place in the hotel...
I know in real life such things don't happen. But patani kyun I have a strong feeling that my Devi Maiyya won't disappoint me. And I have every right to dream. Don't I? I mused.
(But I feel that my Devi Maiyya won't disappoint me)."Aur...aur uska profession? Perhaps a businessman?"
(And...and his profession?)Joining her I too laid down on the grass and bumped our heads accidentally. Giggling like a silly teenager I answered my BFF in a no-nonsense tone.
"No way. Businessmen boring hote hain La. How about a gangster?!?"
(Businessmen are boring La)."You mean a Mafia as a Mahiya?"
(Lover). She passed me a wink and began tickling me. Breathless I tried to push her away from me. But her tickles did not stop. I had to apologise to let her off me.
The bell rang making us aware that our free period was over now. Sighing at my bestie I stood up and holding hands we rushed to attend our next class. Amidst the lecture, my thoughts drifted to our previous conversation.Hmmm...
What Lavanya said sounds interesting?
Mera Mafia...Mera Mahiya?!?
(My mafia...my lover?!?)
