Hi friends!
Thank you for all your comments. I like the fact that you are appreciating this ff. So here is the next chapter of M4. Do read and review.Khushi POV
Knowing that the end of this month is near I have no choice but to visit the Gupta house. It's an unsaid rule between us. I am supposed to show my face to Uncle and Payal at the end of every month. Begrudgingly I drove my beloved scooter to the most hated place on this planet.
But to my surprise, no one was present in the house. Uncle's room was empty. I tried to hunt for Payal in her bedroom but she too was absent. Before I could make a move my eyes caught a piece of paper lying on the bed. Its content left me baffled.
Khushi...
I know you will visit soon. So let me inform you that Dad has fled from this city due to his debts. He tried to push me for marriage to a known mafia man. But I am running away with Akaash. Why should I agree to marry a weirdo mobster? Be thankful to me that I wrote this letter. This is a noble gesture from me. I mean being an adopted kid you don't deserve to know all this. But for a change, I thought to be kind. Do not visit again and stay away from the house.
Ciao.Chudail Gupta kahin ki. Both these Guptas are a black spot in the name of family. I ripped the letter annoyed by her words. Ughhh. Well, good riddance. At least I won't have to bear their ugliness for some time. Bechare mobsterji ka dil tod dia. Hum hote to kabhi aisa na karte. Devi Maiyya please grant that mafia man all his wishes. He deserves so much better than my pathetic sister.
(That Witch Gupta. I am feeling bad for Mr Mobster. This sounds heartbreaking. I would have never done such a thing).Throwing the ripped letter in two different corners of the room I exited the house. Mounting my scooty I left the area feeling elated by the absence of the nasty Gupta family. I was halfway to my destination when I remembered that La wanted me to buy groceries for tonight's meal. Heading to the nearest Modern Bazaar, I rushed inside to do some shopping.
Arnav POV
I sat on the sofa in the hall of Gupta House while my men frisked the place. There was no trace of Shashi. Or Payal. But in one of the bedrooms, Aman found a ripped piece of paper. A torn letter was addressed to someone called Khushi.

I know you will visit soon. So let me inform you that Dad has fled from this city due to his debts. He tried to push me for marriage to a known mafia man. But I am running away with Akaash. Why should I agree to marry a weirdo mobster? The other half of the paper was missing. Gripping the letter in my fist I screamed at the top of my voice.
"HOW DARE SHE CALL ME A WEIRDO MOBSTER?!? Find out where she escaped. And get me the details of this Khushi and Akaash."
"Yes ASR. I will. Umm. We have found that rat. He is hiding in a five-star hotel, in Gurgaon."
"Fine. Let's go."
Payal Gupta, I won't spare you. I snarled feeling the bubbling rage inside me. She will be punished thoroughly. Striding towards the main door I was about to leave when a strong floral scent tantalized my senses. My nostrils flared enjoying the jasmine cologne. Sensuous. Breathtaking. Beautiful. How strange?
I tried to locate the source of the intoxicating scent. I could feel Aman's eyes on me. Of course, I would appear as a man who has lost his marbles. However, something pulled me towards that scent. Finally, a few minutes later I found a scarf lying on a side table close to the main door of Gupta's house. Smelling the jasmine fragrance one last time I pocketed the cloth and sauntered outside.
And I failed to notice that for the first time in so many years a potent scent was able to simmer down my anger.
