Moonlit Bench :08

I exhale and lay down for a second to eat a piece of bread Alex had given me, and I hear a hiss from behind me...

Bam! I fly forward from the now clear creeper, and try to think before I would inevitably have my first death. I reach down into my inventory, and throw a bucket of water down underneath me to break my fall. It worked! I had survived, and decided to grab a few more things before going back to the surface.

The mining was... fun to say the least, and in that moment I'd been very grateful that I had a game sense. I gather the rest of the iron I had found, and start to strip mine upwards. As I started getting higher and higher, eventually dirt had fallen on my face to reveal sunlight. "Finally, and now I can say that I haven't seen the sun in years!" The funny thing though was the fact that it wasn't sunlight... It was moonlight.

"Oh shit, I didn't realize it was that late!" I check the time with the clock I had made, and remember what Alex had asked of me. "We gotta run, I need to meet Quackity by the fountain." I quickly sprint over to the fountain he'd told me to go to, and wait. After a few minutes of talking to the chat, I get impatient and decide to text him on the menu at a nearby bench.

(should i just do a chapter where i explain the menu, and other canon stuff for minecraft realism?)

I send the text, expecting a reply and jump at Alex suddenly shaking my shoulders. "Oh hey! You scared me." I say, hand over my mouth from the shock. He shrugs and grins, "Well, you should be scared. There are scary people out gambling tonight." I nod. "Especially when they're drunk and lost a bet."

He scoots over next to me while continuing our conversation, and I ask him a few questions. "Well, I hear how Sapnap's your fiance right?" his smile disappears, and he tries to cover it with an energetic tone. "Mhm! Karl too..." he starts innertwining his fingers with a feather he had, and sighs. "Not anymore though."

"Oh, I uh, I didn't know. I didn't mean to upset you." he nods slowly and leans his head onto my shoulder. Oh god. We're so close. "I didn't want to be reminded, but now I found a new person! Who's funnier, and sweeter..." he went on and on, making me smile at every quality he was naming about me.

"And well, this person is... you." He looks up at me, and we lock eyes. I lean back on the bench and close my eyes under the moonlight.

Back to reality~

As I'm crouching next to Alex on the bench, I could clearly tell he was making up lore for my and his character and I go on with it. I take a sip of water, before continuing our bit of the moment, and I uncrouch and ask him shyly. "Alex Quackity, do you want to go on a minecraft date with me?" I tilt my mouse down, to make a desperate expression in game, and he says in his tiny voice, "Yes, mamacita!"

I cringe at the overused nickname, and say, "Call me Nina, my Nino." he nods his character's head up and down, and agrees, "Si si, my Nina." I crack my knuckles, and glance at the time. I had been mining for 2 hours, and didn't realize. "It was nice speaking to you, Nino but I should really go feed Nick." He laughs, and responds, "What is he, like your dog??"

"No, he just burns everything he puts on a pan, or in the oven." I hear scribbling, and he jokes, "Noted... Sapnap can't cook..." I put my stream to the title screen, and say goodbyes. Alex stayed in call with me because he had something to ask, but I ended. "What did you want to talk about?"

"So, you know how we're meeting up in a few days?" He turns on his camera in the voicecall. I could see his freckled face with a grin staring at me, even though I never showed my own face to him, and I felt a bit bad. I had accidentally walked into Nick's room while he was streaming before, but his facecam had covered most of me, including my face."Yeah, what about it?"

"What do you look like?" he asks. I ready my facecam, and tease him. "Oh yeah, you want to flirt directly to my pretty face, don't you?" His expressions awkwardly change, but he nods and I turn the camera on.

He practically pogs, and whispers, "Wow Y/n, you're very... beautiful." My face slightly flushes with pink, and I take the compliment. "Thanks, I'm not sure when I should reveal it to the world yet though." He proposes ideas, trying to convince me to do whatever I want. "You're a fairly new streamer, so you shouldn't feel pressured into revealing yourself."

I agree, and hear Nick call me from downstairs. "Y/N, what are you talking about with Quackity?" I roll my eyes, assuming he had been watching the stream and explain to Alex, "Nick is impatient for food, I'm gonna head out but I'll see you soon!" He waves, and in a childish voice coos, "Goodbye Nina!"

I turn off my PC, and start down the stairs with my phone. I wonder if he really does like me. I continue thinking about the bit we had made up that stream, and my mind sidetracks to something else. What if the bit was real? What if... "Hey Y/N, I hope I didn't interrupt your honeymoon with Alex." I look at him with a serious look on my face.

"Really Nick?" I shoot back at him and he says, "Well, I may or may not have talked to him about you too." I try to follow up off topic, and forget how he thinks us two may be a thing in the future. What the hell, why did I think of that?? I follow up, "Do you need food, uncultured brat." he nods, and I start cooking a bowl of beans and rice.
