Knock Knock! :09

"Do you need food, uncultured brat." he nods, and I start cooking a bowl of beans and rice.

A day passes, and I am off and on talking to Alex counting down the days until I meet him. I was excited, even though I had known him for about a week and we continued fake flirting on and off stream. One particular day though, exactly a day before me and Alex were going to meet, I hear a small knock on the door. I tiredly get up from watching my favorite movie with Nick, and open the door, and gasp. "Alex?"

"Hi Y/N! How are you doing?" he has a wide smile on his face, opening his arms for a hug. "Not gonna lie, I thought you'd be shorter." I joke, and he lightly punches me in the arm. "It's so nice to finally meet you!" he says, walking in to hug me. My face goes directly onto his shoulder, and I lightly blush. "You too!" I pull away from the hug, and hear footsteps coming towards us from behind.

I pull out a pen from my pocket, and creep around the corner to see Nick, middle finger peeking around the corner, glaring at me. "For fucks sake, I live with you. Also, who was at the door?" Alex jumps from behind the corner, and surprises Nick. "Wait, you're here!" he exclaims, happily. We invite him over to the couch, and Nick starts to ask questions. "So, how are you here so early?"

He puts his hand up to face the ceiling. "My plane trip was cancelled because of a weather warning in the future, so I just went a day before!" We both nod, and Nick answers, "Well, why didn't you tell us." He smugly replies, "Well, I wanted it to be a surprise!" I nodded, and stopped for a second to think because I realized something.

"Alex, my house only has two rooms." He volunteers himself. "I can sleep on the couch if you want." we all agree, and decide to update Karl. "Hey Karl," Nick started after Karl had finally answered his phone. "Hey Nick! What's up, how- how's life?" He nods through the screen, and we saw because we had facetimed him. "We have a bit of a surprise Karl."

He makes a confused face, and wonders, "Yeah man, what you up to, what happened?" Then, Alex jumps into frame with a silly little, "Ello!" Karl gasps, and greets Alex. "Alex! What brings you to the house so early?" He laughs, and then frowns. "What?!" Karl asks, as if the frown was directed at him. "My flight was delayed for next week, so I went on the earlier flight. I'm glad I kept notifications on." Alex holds up his phone.

Karl nods, and declares, "Well, that's good to know. I'll see you guys tomorrow then!" Before Karl hangs up, Nick stops him. "First of all, Y/N you should help Alex set up his stuff for the night, and I need to talk with you alone Karl." Me and Alex exchange glances, and I shrug heading out to grab his bags from the rental.

As I close the door, I hear Nick faintly say, "Hey handsome, I have a question for you." I laugh to myself with Alex, who had also heard it and we tease about him. "Anyways, other than the flight, how are you doing so far?" he starts using his hands to express himself, which I found cute. "Well, I basically woke up, drove to the airport, got in the plane, landed, ate lunch, and came here." I put my hand on my head in disbelief.

"Wow, you must be tired." I pull a comforter from the closet out, and give it to him. "Yeah, I don't really want to do much else today to be honest." I check the time on my phone, and suggest, "We could watch a movie, or cringe at our old videos." He agrees, then realizes, "Wait, you don't even make videos Y/N!"

I shake my head no, and pull up my ever so small youtube account. "I used to, when I was like 14 but I gave up. I much prefer watching content instead of stressing all this other crap." He nods, and explains the troubles. We continued for about an hour, and if I'm gonna be real it was the most boring conversation I'd ever had. Discussing sub equivalents, dividends for advertisements, and the algorithm is shit.

He's smarter than he looks, I'll give him that. We invite Nick, who had been complaining to Karl about me stealing all of Alex's attention downstairs, and we start watching and cringing at some videos of when we were younger. "OK, so-" I halfway wheezed out, preparing to burst out. "We went to a family reunion when I was younger with Nick, and I remember he got his ass stuck in a dog door!"

I slam my hand to the table in sync to Alex, and Nick shares an embarrassing experience I had. "Well, we visited her mom one year, and she tried cooking pancakes with me and ate a pancake I put too much salt in." I remember that day, and knew what he was gonna say because he always did. "And, I'll never forget the look on her face when she took a bite."

I laugh at my past self, who'd be crying from the terrible taste. "Here, this is from an old channel of mine when I was 13, and I made a video on parkour." I prepare to cringe at myself from 7 years ago, and click play. A familiar me from forever ago spoke through the screen. Nick heads out of the room to grab some more popcorn, and I scoff.

"Hello people of minecraft! My name is U/NPlayz, and I'm gonna continue my minecraft let's play today!" I practically barf, and cough at how high pitched my voice was. "Woah Y/N, your non-existent balls really dropped." I choke on my tears, and start to murder Alex. "I CAN'T BBREATHE ALEX. DIE."

I held onto his throat, preventing him from making any more funny jokes, and realized how much I was invading his personal space.
