Austin's P.O.V
Damn, my neck hurts. I drowsily opened my eyes, but didn't meet the familiar sight of my cozy bunk. Instead, I saw white walls and a bed. A bed, with my amazing friend Delilah in it, her chest moving slightly with each breath she took. After adjusting to the light, I realised that we were in a hospital, and everything came flooding back to me. I sat up in the uncomfortable chair I'd fallen asleep in, and just looked around. It was the most depressing place, I didn't expect to be here again after Del's last dilemma.
Not really knowing what to do, I kind of just sat in my chair and looked at her for a while, hoping she would wake up and be okay again. Well, okay, I knew she wasn't going to be okay again because she just tried to kill herself, but she would at least be awake and breathing. It didn't take much longer before she started stirring, and a few seconds later her eyes fluttered open. Obviously she wasn't in the greatest shape, but I seemed to overlook that when I practically sprinted one metre to be by her side. She didn't say anything for a while, just looked around, looked at me and watched a tear roll down my face. She was disappointed with herself when she finally did speak, though.
"Why am I still here?" She breathed.
"Because we don't want you to leave." I turned around to find Alan, Tino, and Phil had silently creeped into the room without us noticing. Tino is the one who spoke, and he wiped a drop of sweat from his forehead as they all drew closer to us. It really was hot, damn Vegas weather.
I quickly wiped my eyes, so that the guys didn't see that I'd been crying, and gestured for Phil to sit next to me. Tino and Alan sat on the other side of the bed and we all tried to distract Del from what had happened.
"I'm really sorry that I've been such a.. um.. piece of work. I thought that maybe this time I would be dead for good, and that you wouldn't have to worry about me anymore." She stammered. We all shook our heads and the four of us grabbed each of her hands (her cast was off now, I guess her arm had healed). She'd gotten really close with the others and I was grateful for that. She would've caved in earlier if it weren't for them.
"We would've worried about you whether you were alive or not. You should've seen how many people we had looking for you yesterday, even people you've never met, like the guys from Mayday Parade. Everyone, and I mean everyone was worried sick about you." Phil said. I could see a smile was threatening to take over her face now, which was a huge improvement to what she must've been feeling yesterday. By the looks of her wrists, she was feeling horrible.
"We love you and we will always be here for you. If you ever want to do anything like this again, come to one of us, or anyone else you've become friends with. I guarantee that they will always be there to help you." Alan said softly, which made the smile on Del's face visible. Her face looked like it was going to crack, this smile was so different from the others. It was so real. It was beautiful.
That was until her brother came back. He just showed up out of nowhere, and Del looked so pained to be seeing him. The guys and I left the room for about half an hour to give them some privacy, and in the meantime we got some lunch. I ate everyone elses food. When we went back to the room, we noticed that Del had been crying, but she didn't want to dwell on the reason too much. We didn't want to force it out of her, so we tried to change the subject.
We all joked around and took our minds off of the situation. Del seemed to recover mentally, but when a nurse finally came in to check up on her, she revealed that it would take her a few days to recover physically. This was obviously a dilemma, since we had to go to the next Warped Venue today. We told the nurse this, and she just shrugged. She then left the room for us to discuss our new plans.
