Content warning: Swearing, Murder
As Jessica approached the park where she was to meet Ray, Jay started to get a sinking feeling in his stomach. His mind raced as to why she was in a park at 7:30pm. It was dark as well which didn't help.
Jay watched as Jessica took an ax out the boot of her car.
No, she can't be. Jay thought to himself as he watched her put two bottles and a syringe in her back pocket along with a piece of wire.
Jessica. She cant be the ax murderer. Jay thought about watching his girlfriend.
Jessica closed the boot and locked it. She walked towards a tree where she knew Ray passed everyday without fail at 7:42pm. Jay got out of his car and watched her from afar. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. She was waiting for someone.
How can the person i love the most be the person i hate the most as well. The axe murderer has made my life hell for the better part of two years. How can the girl i want to marry be the murderer I want to see dead. Jay thought as he watched his girlfriend, the love of his life, Wait patiently by a tree.
He watched a man approach, unaware who he was about to run into. He walked past the tree where she was. He got maybe 2 meters before his sides were slit with a freshly sharpened ax. Jay stood and watched in horror as Jessica laughed and giggled while killing her 51st victim. Jay couldn't do anything but watch. He didn't have his badge or handcuffs or even a taser. He watched as she started to hack away at his torso. He didn't know what to do. If he confronted her, who's to say she won't kill him too. She stood up from hacking the body. And turned to the tree where jay was hiding.
"I know you're there sweetheart. Come out. I won't hurt you." She said in the scariest voice Jay could think of.
Jay slowly rounded the tree and slowly walked closer to Jessica. As he got closer he could see the blood covering her clothes and her face and her hands. He could see the dead guy behind her who was alive not 5 minutes ago.
"Jessica." Jay whispered as if he didnt know what to say.
"Come here baby. Let me show you how I do it." She said and started to walk over to the body.
"Don't call me baby Jessica." Jay said as he stood still. Unable to move from fear.
"Oh but you see, it's so much fun. Join me." Jessica said, presenting the handle of the ax to him.
Jay was torn between his heart and his job. He had never killed someone before. Now he's an accomplice to a serial killer. To say he was confused was an understatement.
"Why would I join you?" Jay said as he just stared blankly at Jessica.
"You really haven't linked all these victims together yet, have you?" She says as she lowers the ax and walks closer to Jay.
"Why? Is there a connection?" He says. He just stood still like a deer in headlights. He couldn't do anything. No one would believe him.
"Jay. babe. They are all child molesters that got away with it. Some are convicts that got out too soon but they all have a crime against a child. Molestation, rape, abuse, neglect. All of them" Jessica says as she gets closer to Jay. He could feel her breath. She could feel his.
"But why? What's your motive?" Jay said as he finally looked her in the eyes. He could see she still loved him. Even after he had just witnessed her kill someone, She still loved him. She looked as though she didn't fear him turning her in or leaving her.
"My first two victims were my mum and dad. My dad raped me and my mum decided I would be her personal punching bag. I held so much resentment for years until 18months ago. I had enough of them taunting me and mocking me so I killed them in a way that was impossible to trace. The thrill from that was incredible. The high I got from slashing their bodies was a high no drug can recreate." She said as she looked blissfully into Jay's eyes as if she was watching Her first two victims be killed all over again.
"But why keep going?" Jay asked.
"You ask too many questions. I killed the rest because after my mum and dad were dead, I felt free. I wanted others to feel like that. While the adults that ruin childhoods are still on this earth, the victim will never be free. I help them do that. I set them free." Jessica said, laying a kiss on Jay's cheek.
"So you kill to set others free." Jay said, finally finding his feet again. He then remembered that the woman in front of him was a serial killer.
"Yes jay. That's right. Now are you going to join me and feel that high with me. We can be a right pair." Jessica said as she presented the ax to Jay again.
"If I join you, I could lose my job," he said.
"Only if they find out. Go on. Take a few swings at the body and see how it feels." She said. Jay hesitated for a minute, weighing up his options. Does he become a corrupt officer or does he turn her in.
Jay took the ax from Jessica and held it in two hands. Jessica took his arm and took him over to the body.
"I don't even know what to do." He said, looking down at the body.
"Here let me help you." Jessica said as she reached around Jay's back and held his hands with hers. She showed him how to swing and how to slice.
"Where did you learn all this?" He asked her. Realizing he asked another question, he very quickly tried to apologize.
"Jay. You're on my side now. Ask any questions you want as long as you aren't going to use them against me. Also I taught myself." Jessica said. Jay began to swing at the body and started to laugh like Jessica had done. He realized that the man she had killed was better off dead.
"I wouldn't use it against you. What next?" Jay asked as he clutched the ax in his hands.
"Next I'll show you how we get the fingers off and add the calling cards." She said. Jessica walked Jay through step by step of how she killed and mutilated her victims. As she finished tying the wire she stood up with Jay standing shortly after.
"I love you, My ax murderer." Jay said. He couldn't believe he enjoyed this.
"I love you too, my corrupt officer." She said, They shared a brief kiss before heading back to their cars. Jessica showed him how she cleaned up afterwards and they headed home.
