BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! 5 o'clock AM
One last day of school before summer.
I throw on my long sleeve shirt and a sweater that says "Nirvana" on it. tonight is going to be a big bon fire a little ways out of town my best friend Haylie is making me go. Of course if I don't my mom will make me go to a support group because she will think I'm still cutting. She doesn't know I still do but I can't tell her.. She will get all stressed.

I walk out the door to my moms car, she starts the engine. She starts backing out of the driveway and halfway to school she glances at me and gives me a questioning look.
"You're wearing a long sleeve AND a sweater when its supposed to be in the 90's today?" I shrug
"So?" I say
"Summer are you self harming again?" She asks cautiously. We are like a block away from school.
"Mom! No, I'm not. Why would you think that?" I say frustrated, I just wish she didnt have to worry so much about me.
"Hunny, I'm just asking, I am a worried mother ya know" I roll my eyes and step out of the car.
"I'm hanging out with Haylie tonight and maybe for a week or so. Make sure dad doesnt flip" I say, I pause "I love you mom" I say and walk into the school.

When I go to my Math class Haylie slides into the chair next to me."hey, so are you ready for the party tonight?"
"Ya sure" I say faking a smile
"Stop trying to fake a smile" she says "I know when you try faking."
"I'm sorry" I say
I pull down my sleeves a little.
"Summer..." I look down at the desk and pull my sleeves down even more now feeling self conscious.
I can't lie to my best friend cause she can tell so I just nod and I don't dare look at her.
"I'm sorry" I say
"It's not your fault, if anyone else is bothering you again tell me" she says and smiles half heartedly.
"So where is this party?" I say changing the subject
"Oh! Uh its like a couple miles outta town. Fresh air will be good for us." I fake a smile nod and then the bell rings.

I fly through all my classes and finally the final bell rings. Everyone cheers and some people even flip off the teachers, curse and run down the hall. I roll my eyes and find Haylie.
She's standing outside. When I walk up to her we walk to her car. She drives to her house first and packs Advil and some clothes just in case we pass out there and I grab my bag and I already have all my stuff. I fix my makeup, put on some black ripped skinny jeans, a Sleeping With Sirens shirt and a Pierce The Veil snapback. Its all black with "Pierce The Veil" in fancy red sewing. Haylie curls my long Black hair and I put my snapback on. Looking in the mirror I look dark and mysterious, I slip on my black vans but then Haylie looks at me shakes her head and hands me red Converse. I roll my eyes and stuff my Vans into my bag.

We take off around 6:30. It takes us about 1:30 minutes to get there. When we pull into the crowded driveway the yard is already littered with red and blue cups. The driveway is a long gravel road. It probably leads to a house or a log cabin or something. When she parks the car I get out and a blue cup is already placed in my hand.
I smell it, it smells like regular coke but with something mixed in. Probably Whiskey or Vodka. I take a sip and it tastes like Whiskey. Music blares throughout the yard and the big bonfire is getting higher. I walk around with Haylie until I lose her in the crowd. I finish my cup and get another. After about my 7th cup do I start to get buzzed. I walk over to a table where people are doing shots. I stand and watch.
"Hey Haylie!" Someone says in a slurred voice "come do some shots" I slowly walk over to see Haylie. "The point is whoever can get the most shots down without passing out or throwing up wins.
They start. She chugged the first one and the second all the way up to the 5th. Then they start doing chugs. She chugged most of the mixer and the other person ended up throwing up and walking away. Everyone cheers for her and she grins. I have no idea what I'm doing but I finally get away and start walking down the Gravel road.
