Days past and Tommy got to know the other members of Boatem, they each showed him their homes, and they were all so nice, although nothing like what he was used to.

Mumbo was really cool, he had all these gadgets and could do things that seemed like magic with red stone.

Scar was really fun to be around, he'd bumble around tripping over his own feet and struggling to fight off mobs, but as much as he was chaotic, he was also insanely sweet, plus he was generally the one in charge of watching Tommy and helping the kid with his injuries, which turned out to be really good for Tommy, who had never actually gotten medical advice about his long lasting war injuries.

Pearl was super sweet, although she had a weird accent he wasn't particularly fond of, but she often walked around Boatem with him, talking to him about the history, and just generally being pretty chill.

Grian was the one with the wings, he gave Tommy a set of what he called Elytra, and they gave him the ability to fly, which was insanely cool, Grian also offered to teach Tommy how to fly, and Tommy immediately took him up on that offer.

An Elytra was the thing he had seen the man who had found him wearing, the thing he hadn't recognised.

On the note of the man who had found him, his name was Impulse, he like Mumbo built really cool red stone machines, and he had a chocolate factory which Tommy was admittedly excited about.

All in all, Tommy started to love Boatem, it became his home, and he never wanted to leave.

He had a room to stay in at all of the Boatem Crew's house, and he was able to freely move about whenever he wanted, he didn't have to worry about war or fighting, or anything, because Grian hadn't lied in that first day, Boatem was amazing, it was safe.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, and by the end of the year, Tommy had really become part of Boatem, he was still learning how to do a lot of the stuff, but it was nice, everyone was so nice to him all of the time.

A year after Tommy arrived, to the day, they were celebrating with him, one year that he had been with them, cause for great celebration.

There was cake, presents, games, and joy all round.

Everyone was having fun, and it was perfect, it was home.

That's when He showed up.

That's when XD arrived.

There was a clap of thunder, odd for such a sunny day, but they shook it off, continuing to celebrate, only Tommy felt an urge, a necessity, to go for a walk alone, just for a minute, down to the Boatem Pole.

He told Pearl he was going to go out for a second, saying something about there being a lot of people, before slipping outside.

He wandered down to the Boatem Pole, the centre of the village.

He saw a figure, standing by it, and he flinched away.

It was Dream.

Dream was here.

He turned to run, to warn the others, for over hours of talking about it, he had uncovered the truth about Dream, and just how cruel the man was, about his manipulation.

Tommy tried to run, but his feet were stuck to the ground.

He turned back to the figure.

Something was different.

That wasn't Dream...

"Who are you?" Tommy whispered.

"I'm XD" The man replied, his voice cruel and dangerous.
