**this is the last chapter

This is her at the end of the series, a few days before Kyo and Tohru leave.

Sora sat at the edge of her bed, flipping through the photographs in her hand. She had an album full of pictures she'd printed out from her phone. Most were of her siblings and pictures of America. But she had a few of Kyoko, her smile, her sitting with Kyo, and the three of them talking merrily...

Her phone buzzed. She grabbed it, scolling through her hundreds of notifications, ignoring the call from a few weeks ago and reading the message that just came from Momiji.

"Kyo and Tohru are leaving. Aren't you two coming?"

She, of course, knew who the other person was. Yuki wouldn't go, she knew it. He wouldn't watch his own family member and friend leave Yokohama. She understood Yuki almost more than anyone in the world, except maybe Machi, of course. He wouldn't go if she payed him one billion yen. Momiji understood that. So why did he...?

Of course, it was addresed to her.

She stared at her phone for a few seconds, then threw it across the room onto her chair.

So much had happened since she first came back.

Meeting all the Somas, and by that she meant all of them, reuniting with Akito, and Shigure and Ayame (who scared her a lot) and so many others. She was ecstatic, when Tohru and Kyo finally revealed their relationship to everyone. Happy, but also... sad.

She knew it wasn't her place to be feeling these emotions, so she acted. She said her congratulations with a big smile and laughed. She refused to make Tohru feel bad over her own trivial feelings. But now...

Sora didn't know what to think. Should she just go? But what would she say? Thank you? That would sound so fake.

Grabbing her phone, she stood up. Watching her best friend leave was something she had to do. After all they had done for her, after lifting her up from her depression and her darkest moments, they deserved at least a hug before leaving.

It was the least Sora could do.

It was a few days after Sora had yelled at Kageru about his mishap with Tohru, and everyone seemed to be on edge.

She knew she shouldn't have done it. The fact that he yelled at Tohru wasn't Kageru's fault, necessarily. But still, she was so angry when she heard this. To protect only your girlfriend, made Sora's eye blaze furiously.

Of course, this was also her anger at herself. How could she leave to America and not help her friend when she needed it the most? How could she leave and enjoy America so happily while her best friend suffered? She was so livid at herself.

Everyone was on edge as she walked in to the school, and she could see and hear their whispering as she walked to her homeroom. The only reason she has not been suspended was because she had beaten him up outside of school. Otherwise she probably would've been expelled. Again.

She put her book bag into its cubby and sat down in the middle of the classroom. A few seconds later, Kyo walked in with Tohru at his right. They passed the whispers and stood at the edge of Sora's desk.

"Did you really beat Kageru up?" Tohru asked quietly, but loud enough for everyone to overhear. The whispers started up again.

Sora sighed and nodded. "I'm sorry. I got angry again. I just-" she paused. She didn't know what to say. Was she really sorry? Why had she punched him?

Tohru smiled kindly. "Don't apologize to me, silly. Apologize to Kageru. You punched him, right? I'll come with you. This is also my fault too. If I didn't overreact when mom died, maybe this wouldn't have happened."
