Turns out you don't really need a backpack to get through one day of school. It was easy really, borrow a pencil from one person and some paper from another. I walked out of my last class to find that one kid I made out with that one time.
"Hey, so I was wondering if you wanted to, like, maybe, um," His shoes suddenly became very interesting.
"Either talk faster or walk with me, and if you see anything remember you didn't." I gave him a death stare and started to walk to the back exit of the hall we were in.
He ran to catch up to me and restarted his sentence, "Maybe we should hang out," He had topped studying his shoes. I kept walking going down to the row of lockers that were hidden from all the classrooms' view. I started to break into the one in the bottom left hand corner.
"Well," I said, cracking the locker open, "I got about until 4 of free time." He just stood there as I raided the locker for anything good. I found a small bag, a couple cigarettes, and some good headphones. I closed the locker as best I could and stood up, "So you want to go do something or just hang out with me and my friends?"
"I, um, guess, with your friends? um, what....what did you just do?" He looked so scared, it was adorable.
"Remember. You didn't see anything." I started walking off again, towards the rail road where we all met up after school normally. He followed me like a puppy dog with out its owner.
"Hey, everyone, we got a new one." I shook my head very slightly to let the know I didn't want him around. Sydney laughed and Jenna immediately took out the drinks. "Where are Melissa and Sam?" I looked around for them.
"Melissa got picked up from school," Sydney flipped of the nonexistent force that didn't allow our other friend to be here. Which apparently was a tree this time.
"And Sam went home for some reason, something about his mom worrying about him," Jenna added, frowning.
"Okay, so its just the five of us."
"Yep," Viccy jumped out of the tree she was in. The kid took a step back a little. I took out one of the cigarettes I got from the locker and Jenna lit it up for me.
"Maybe um, ya, I'm just gonna go..." He took off running. Probably to his mommy.
"Might be a good idea to move in case he brings back adults like a little bitch." I started to walk into the trees after I ground my cigarette on the rail road tracks. I wasn't really in the mood to smoke anything. I grabbed the drinks and took a sip, fireball and tequila, not very tasty but it will get you fucked up. We eventually reached a small clearing where visible ashes and trash from the 'bad kids' could be seen.
"Hey, Sophie, you should chug your drink," Sydney suggested.
"Naw, I can't I have to go home at 4 to check in with my mom." I waved away the offer. They all sat down in a circle and passed around the bottles, "Catch you guys later. Don't get to fucked up." I kept walking into the trees.
"Alright, don't go lose what little of your virginity you have left." Jenna yelled back, already tipsy. I laughed and walked to seemingly nowhere. I looked at my phone, 3:45 yea I had time.
It took me about five minutes to get to Sam's house. I knocked once on his window, we had taught him the system. The window was thrown open,
"Just you?" He looked around, and up, for other people.
"Yea, its just me. Your girlfriend isn't here," I laughed, "Just checking in."
"Well first of all, she's not y girlfriends and ya I'm perfectly fine."
"Mkay, I have to go check in with my mom so she know I'm alive."
"Okay, see you later," He shut his window and I kept walking to my house.
I threw open the door,
"I'M HOME AND ALIVE!" I yelled to the house. My mom came out of the living room,
"Okay, you eat while you were out?"
"Yep" I nodded.
"Okay then, just remember to check in when you go out sweetie,"
"Okay Mom," I walked to my room and put my headphones in to blast music and surf the internet. I always stay up to late on weekends anyways.
