Shehnaaz

Shrugging, I took lazy steps toward him. “Nothing. I was just remembering the times I spent the nights here. It was mostly when we got too drunk and Deep’s place was the closest from the bars we went to so all of us ended up spending the night here. Good old days.”

Seeming to have noticed the longing in my eyes as nostalgia took over, he frowned. “What changed?”

“Um, nothing. Except that I got married and depressed.”

That drew a laugh from him, “I wouldn’t have had any problem if you wanted to go out here.”

“Didn't you hear what I said? I was depressed after marrying you. Having fun with my friends didn’t occur to me as I was busy hating you.”

“If it’s any consolation, I wasn’t in my best spirits either after our marriage.”

“Yes, because you were busy chasing me in clubs worried someone might kill me.”

He didn’t look pleased, “Now who is talking about death? I thought you hated it.”

Reclining backwards, somewhat, I said, “Alright, sorry. Just kidding.”

“Don’t repeat it.”

Rolling my eyes, I turned to the table beside me and climbed onto it. Following it, he got off from the wall and walked to stand before me as I dangled my legs in the air.

“I heard you were having a rather interesting conversation with Deep and Karan earlier?”

Smirking, He asked, “Did you catch that bit while you were stalking me earlier?”

“Akshara told me.” I said. “And I wasn’t stalking you.”

“Sure,” He said. “Deep and Karan are great, turns out we have a lot in common. We mostly talked about sports, Deep’s wedding and a little about you.”

“Me? Were you bitching about me?”

He chuckled, “No. Not me at least. Karan was just complaining how much of a pain in the ass you’ve become because apparently you wouldn’t stop talking about me the entire week.”

“Ha, nice try. But I did nothing of the sort And if you wanted to try that, you should’ve used Deepika’s name. She’s the one I talk to about you.”

“So you do talk about me,” He smirked. “Perhaps I should have a quick chat with her.”

“You're going to be disappointed. We're going to carry each other’s secrets to our graves so you can’t fish anything out of her. She knows all my dirty secrets and I know she will not tell a soul about them.”

“Dirty secrets, interesting.” He hummed in amusement, “By the way, did you tell her about the reason we got married?”

I laughed at his sudden change in tone to a more serious one, “Don’t worry. I’m not stupid. I know that’s confidential information and making her aware of it will only put her in danger. So yeah, your secret’s safe with me.”

“Thank you for not telling her,” He said, somewhat relieved and surprised with my action. “I really appreciate it.”

“You can always share your secrets with me, I will not tell a soul.”

“Yeah, but no, thanks. I don’t have any to share right now.”

“You sure? I won't judge.” I said and he subtly eyed my entire figure from top to bottom with a smirk.

“Again, no, But if you’re too curious, I wouldn’t mind flashing you.”

Upon hearing his vulgar words, a blush instantly took to my face which was precisely the reaction he was seeming to aim. Chuckling, He stepped closer until my legs were caged between his.
