Chapter 6

Everybody Wants to Rule the World          

         "Wake up, wake up love." Fluttering your eyes open, you see Kuvira looking out the train window. "Prepare my trupes...it's time." Nodding in agreement you know what's next, getting up from out of the seat you make your way to Kuvira hugging her from behind before you could say anything you both hear a knock on the door quickly you both freshen up trying your best to look presentable. "Come in." As Baatar walks he seems to have a confused look on his face. " It seems you guys just woke up, but that's besides the point we are almost there."

        "I'll be going now if you need me I will be outside making sure everything is in place." Taking a bow you swiftly walk out the door getting as far away as you can from her office. Taking a sharp turn you find yourself in an empty room bending the room tightly shut you deeply inhale finally having air to breathe. That was the best rest I've probably ever had, but I can't dwell on that for too long. It's time to bring Zaofu to its knees...it's for the best.

Making your way to the communications room you turn on the intercoms saying. "Hello soldiers, soon we'll be at Zaofu gather all your weapons, mecha suits, and airships. This is a code yellow, we march out at 10!" With that you walked out onto the field making sure everything was in place. You hurry back only to finded her making her way to meet with Suyin, "Wait up, I would like to come with you."

"What are you doing L you should be with the trupes waiting for my command." Kuvira said with a serious look on her face. "It's fine I left commander Chu in charge please. I think I can help reason with her." "I mean she could help L has lived in the Earth kingdom her entire life." Said Baatar, it took Kuvira a minit but she agreed, "You are right, might as well give it a shot." Smiling widely you thank Kuvira over and over and with that you make your way inside."

          "Opal, you're here too." "- No, you've chosen your side." Sides? There shouldn't be sides. I know, why don't we all stand in a circle, huh, Maybe hold hands?" "I'm not giving up zaofu. I don't care if you brought your entire army." " Su, I didn't bring my army to threaten you. I wanted to show you all that your son and I Have accomplished! 

           "You must realize what you're doing goes against everything your father and I tried to teach you. Son, you belong here. "Why? So that I can go on living in your shadow? "Don't say that. Can't you see she's brainwashed you. "Ha, I didn't brainwash him. I set him free. And now he's accomplished more with me than he ever could have with you.

         "Um hi hello you may not know who I am but I am Kuvira's head strategist and I just want to say that Kuvira has done so much good I should now I lived in the Earth Empire for almost my entire life so I know what it is like there or what it was like there she's helped clean it up and now its a better place for all." Suyin cuts you off before you could speak, saying. " Where do you get off? I can't believe you would bring Bolin, Baatar and this poor brainwashed girl here to sway me."

          "- Okay, guys, obviously, there's a lot of personal, painful history here. So what do say we just all forget about that stuff, huh? I mean, that's the past. Right, Wing? Right, Wei? You guys know what I'm talking about. High five. All right. No, it's cool. You know what I think we need to do? Focus on the future. And the future is bright. Let me tell you. I've seen it. Yeah, I saw it last month. We went to this town that had nothing. Most of the people there had never even seen A satomobile before. But now they have two satomobiles, Running water, and a magnet train That goes right through their town. I mean, how awesome is that?"

          "They might have been happy when you first arrived, But I've seen what happens after you leave. Citizens are forced to work as slave labor. Dissenters are sent off to who knows where. "You're wrong, opal. Now, I don't know what you think you've seen, but I'm giving you the 100% bolin guarantee that we're making the earth empire A better place to live. " I can't believe you brought them here To try to sway us. Leave. Zaofu will never accept you as their leader." "Then you leave me no choice. You have 24 hours to agree to join the empire, or we take the city by force.

         As you wait in your tent you pace around thinking to yourself, 'Brainwashed I'm not brainwashed I just know where my priorities lay this is all for the best I know that now more than ever." Without even realizing it Kuvira taps you on the shoulder spooking you a bit. "Sorry if I startled you but I need you." With a flustered face you say, "But what if they hear us." "Ha oh love not like that but it's ok we will enjoy each other's bodies soon enough. That's not what I'm here for. I need you to spy on Bolin. It seems his loyalty to me is wavering, report back if there is any suspicious activity oh and be a safe dove I need you more now than ever."

        Making your way back to the train you see Bolin opening a hatch you can't hear much but as soon as you see Zhu Li help Bolin and Varrick out you know what you have to do. Getting Baatar and another soldier the 3 of you go to hunt down the traders it took some fighting and lava redirecting but you guys managed to capture them. 

        After you got them you decided to head back to your tent to take a rest kicking off your shoes and plopping down onto your bed you think about everything that has been said you even think about taking Suyin's words into consideration before you could think about it any further you reminded yourself that it is for the best and with that sleep takes over.
