"You'd be lucky if you even lived after tomorrow." "I'll take your word for it."
Acouple hours had passed since Ambrose had intruded into the cave. Selen stayed in the cave all night working on the large magical formation. In all honesty, she had been paying attention in class, but she didn't want to listen to everything. "Selen." She heard a voice say from the entrance. "What are you doing out here in this cave?" "Well, I..." She looked over at the figure standing at the entrance. "Father, I can explai-" "You don't need to. I already got enough of an explanation from Ambrose." Selen stayed silent, as she looked at the ground. "Your practicing demonic arts? And your not paying attention in class? Were you not raised better by your blood-related parents?" He testified to Selen. "No." She stayed silent for a moment before speaking back up. "You know they died when I was very young, you took me in when I was 5." Selen exhaled. "I lied when I said my parents died in a mass murder, I killed them for a sacrifice, much like that magical formation." Selen pointed to the floor. Phil stepped closer to the formation. Selen got out her pocket knife and slit a cut into her arm as she did a bit ago, and she let it drip onto the formation, activating it.
There was an explosion of reds and shades of different colors, and smoke. After it cleared, her wound was healed already, and she looked at where he was originally standing. He was still there. "it should've... what.. how could it not work-?" She looked at him, flabbergasted. Then, she noticed the flying green and black katana, with a golden keychain type on the handle that had a bell on it, circling him, defending himself from the magical formation. "You know after you just attempted to kill me, there will-" Selen interrupted him, "There will be consequences,' yeah yeah I know. It's almost as if I've been told that before." Selen rolled her eyes. At this point, Phil was almost furious with her. "Am I going to be hung? Maybe burned alive? Cut into 50 pieces? What's your choice?" She laughed. He stayed quiet. "What? Are you not going to say anything?" She looked at him. "Selen." "Oh, he finally talks! What a miracle!" She said sarcastically. "Do you want to fight or something? I'd do that!"
"Leave, go somewhere else not here. If you're not going to follow the rules we specifically set for people like you, you need to leave." He threatened Selen. "Finally. I'll gladly leave! Goodbye!" Selen happily said as she sprinted off and picked up her bag.
A few hours had passed, it was still in the middle of the night, and only Ambrose was awake. After Phil had told her Selen had run off and disappeared, she hadn't been able to sleep. She'd been reading books that were in the library of the house about the magic she'd been learning about in class since she was bored and couldn't sleep. She pondered where Selen could've gone. But then it hit her. She remembered the village that Selen was found at, that she was told about. Ambrose shut the book she was reading, threw on clothing, grabbed a few things, put on her shoes, and headed out of the front door of the house.
