You curled into bed after a long while. By the time you were finally in your pajamas, ready to slip into a good night's sleep, Kim walked in.

You ignored the sound of the door cracking open, followed by the small stream of light stretching over the bed. You just pretended to be asleep so Kim could get ready without thinking she was disturbing you. After some footsteps and some shuffling around, however..

"...(Y/n)?" A mix between confusion and fear softly lifted from the short girl's mouth. You rolled over to face her, the gig up. You squinted at the young woman's silhouette as she stood beside the now empty couch. Catching your breath again, you remembered. "Where is... Val..?"

"She... She was sent away... Armond...found out..about us."

"What?!"

"Sh! I-it should be fine! He said he just let her go with a warning!"

"Here?!.. (Y/n), most of the people here hate your kind! Are you sure you can trust a random stranger like that?!"

"I.... No... Actually.." You almost felt scared to bring up that he was a wing dealer of all people.... Ohhh, drat! You were so stupid to believe he would actually let a FALK like her go! Kim studied your rising anxiety via your face and posture as you sat up in bed, not taking that as a good sign. Kim began pacing around, in a panic herself now. You were too drained to panic like that, instead feeling yourself on the verge of shutting down instead.

"W- we have to do SOMETHING! Sh-sh-she could be in big trouble right now; in jail; or even DEAD!"

"Or having her wings cut off as we speak.."

"Or that too!" Kim flailed her arms. "How do we? How do we? How do we?- Guhhh! How!?!" She started pulling at her black hair a little bit. You sat still, hugging your knees.

".......I have no idea..."

"Sounds like you two are in a mighty large pickle." You spun around, seeing Joa carefully opening the glass door to the balcony with new concern painted on his face.

"Joa?!" You leapt from the bed and rushed to hug the old man.

"I just got here. What happened?"

"Someone's just found out about (Y/n) and Val being Falks, and we think he took Val!" Kim spouted.

"Oh my.."

"It gets worse." You lowly added, snatching both their attentions at once. "You know that procedure I asked you about?"

"Yeah. I came to tell you the doctor's just confirmed he can have it done this weekend-"

"It's a scam. M-maybe even worse than that!"

".....What do you mean by that..?"

Huffing, standing stiffer, "Well...turns out.. those operations don't just dispose of the wings in a respectable fashion. They....sell them..on the black market."

"Wha-?!"

"The only reason I know is because the head of the business himself told me! Armond, Herobrine's own personal advisor.. has been working behind the King's back for centuries in the wing trade!"

"Wait. But he's a human.."

"It's a generational thing. They all have the same name."

"Oh.." There was silence again as the three of you individually thought about what should be done next. "I could.. call the FPP, but other than that, I don't really know what to do either..."

"The FPP?" Kim.

"Falk Protection Program. They specialize in missing Falk cases, though they are also great for specific medical emergencies or if a Falk is discovered and it is so bad they need help creating a brand new identity in a completely new place... They're...more of a last resort thing, though..." You explained.
