Your POV
I let out a sigh of relief as my body submerged under the warm, clean water. It's been about a day since I accepted the job at the tavern. Meliodas gave me some time to clean up and settle in before I start my first shift today. I look at the now muddy water realizing how dirty I was before. It's been a hot minute since I was able to take a bath. I have only been in this city for a few days as far as I know. Nobody knows me and I don't remember anyone. If I'm being honest I don't really want to remember anything from my past. I was left on the street dirty, alone, and hungry. Just from that, I know whatever happened to me couldn't have been good.
"Hey, I got your uniform," Meliodas said while bursting into the room.
"Get out! Do you not know how to knock!?" I fumed while throwing a loose towel.
"Sorry," Meliodas muffled underneath the towel.
"Then GET OUT!" I yelled. Meliodas quickly closed the door before I could throw another random object. I let out an exhausted sigh and then stepped out of the bathtub. Geez...does he have no sense of privacy. I looked to the ground and then picked up the neatly folded uniform Meliodas left behind.

"What is with these uniforms?! They're both...ugh...whatever I'll just pick this one," I whispered. I pick up the clothing and then quickly change before heading out the door.
"*Burp* Oh yeah! That hits the spot. Ya certainly got one of the best ale but nothing beats the ale from Bernia village," an old man smiled while gulping down his drink.
"I can't argue with that. I'm actually planning to go there now...Oh hey! Um...umm...hold on you never told me your name," Meliodas grinned.
"Oh yeah, I didn't! I'm a...Uhm...uh...I...don't remember," I flushed.
"Oh yeah, you told me you forgot everything...Then why don't you make a name up," Meliodas smiled while clearing a table.
"That's actually a good idea! I'll call myself Y/N," I grinned.
"Sounds good!" Meliodas replied.
"Sorry to interrupt whatever this is butcha got any grub," the old man asked.
"Dude, this tavern isn't really known for its food," Meliodas answered.
"Okay, I'm fixing this right now. How can you run a tavern but you can't cook?" I frowned as I grabbed Meliodas' hand. Meliodas shrugged as I shook my head in disappointment. I looped my arm around Meliodas' and then took him to a room that seemed to be the kitchen.
"Okay we will start with something simple, scrambled eggs and chopped tomatoes," I declared. Meliodas rolled up his sleeves farther and then nodded with confidence.
"Just chop the tomatoes while I whisk the eggs," I ordered. Meliodas nodded then took out a basket of tomatoes, a cutting board, and a sharp knife. I turned away and began cracking the eggs and then whisking them.
Suddenly, I heard a loud bang causing me to quickly whip my head around. In front of me was the table broke clean in half, a spilled basket of tomatoes, and Meliodas splattered with tomato juice.
"How did you..." I asked.
"My hand slipped," Meliodas chuckled awkwardly.
"Ugh...Never mind...just come over here I'll show you how to cut tomatoes GENTLY," I grumbled. I stood behind Meliodas hugging my chest close to his back trying to reach my arms around his body. I then place my hands above his and guided him as he cleanly slice through the plump fruit. As I leaned over his shoulder to watch as we diced the tomatoes I could feel his hair brush and tickle my cheek. I was able to hear his breath and watch the rise and fall of his chest. I slightly shook my head wondering why my mind was wandering off to such a strange place. Once the tomatoes were all cut Meliodas marvelled at his achievement. I chuckled a little and then took a clean cloth to wipe the tomato juice from his face. Meliodas' eyes widened at my sudden contact.
"S-sorry," I flushed quickly removing my hand from his face.
"It's fine it surprisingly felt nice," Meliodas grinned completely oblivious to what he just said. I continued to blush not knowing how to respond when Hawk thankfully busted into the kitchen shattering whatever atmosphere was created.
"Meliodas, mom says we're here!" Hawk squealed. Mom??? Here??? But we haven't even been moving?
"Thanks, Hawk. Let's get going," Meliodas beamed.
"Going, where?" I asked.
"You'll see," Meliodas teased. I followed Meliodas outside the tavern. I almost fell over from the shock of seeing that I was riding on a giant, green pig. I carefully climbed down the ladder attached to the side of the pig. I watched in astonishment as Hawk's mom dug into the ground eventually leaving only the tavern in view. I guess that's why it's called boar hat.
"You see that village over there? That's Bernia. I usually get my booze from somewhere else but nothing beats Bernia's stuff. Their ale hits different," Meliodas smiled while he pointed.
"Wow, the river looks really clear!" Hawk exclaimed
"I can't see very well but...it looks like those townspeople are crowded around something or someone," I speculated.
"Yeah sounds about right. Let's go over and check it out," Meliodas replied. After a few minutes of walking, we eventually got to the crowd of people. I peer through the crowd and watch as a pink-haired man lifts up his sword.
"Please Lord Gilthunder, he is only a child. He hasn't been taught proper respect yet. Please, spare the village," an old woman pleaded.
A tall, skinny guard pushed the women to the ground and then scoffed, "All of you must pay for this child's disrespect. How dare he disrespect a Holy Knight!" The townspeople continued to beg and plead to no avail. The pink-haired Holy Knight lifted up his sword and then sent a bolt of electricity pulsating through the sword before plunging it into the ground. Meliodas and I watched as the electric current ran throughout the ground of the city, drying up the river till the ground was left shrivelled and barren. The Holy Knight looked out to the crowd and then seemingly locked eyes with Meliodas before walking away from the village. Two knights stayed and continued to mock and laugh at the fruitless struggle of the townspeople as they attempted to pull the sword from the ground.
