A deep sigh came from the lady's lips as her young maid brushed her hair. "That was so brave of you, my lady! But I'm pretty sure you're going to get a scolding from his grace later." She laughed.
"I'm pretty sure I will." She rest her face on the top of her palm, looking at the beautiful, blue moon.
He better become a great man.
"Viviane!" A voice was heard from behind as she walked towards the garden. "Anthony, is there something the matter?" The young Florence asked, as if nothing happened at all just earlier. "Yes something's the matter! Mother was beyond disappointed for what you had done!"
"But, if I hadn't done that, you wouldn't have the chance to be with the real love of your life, no?" She smirked, facing the guy as he tried balancing his breath once more, his face now blossoming the color red.
"W, what do you mean?! I don't understand what you're trying to say here. And you mean her? She's nothing but a daughter of my father's business partner!" He tried explaining himself, making up whatever excuse he could find on the spot.
"Yeah, as if." She giggled lightly. "You would constantly talk about her when you're not teasing me. You complain about how you miss her since you only see her once in a while, you talk about her hair, her eyes, her smile, everything. Don't try and make another excuse cause I know you better that you think."
He blushed in embarrassment. "You got me." He muttered before trying to calm down. "But you didn't have to do all that for me." Viviane laughed. "I wasn't, most of that was because I truly don't like you, well, in that kind of way."
"But what would the others think if they had heard the news about the soon-to-be duchess of the Florence duchy reject an earl's son? I do not want to risk my reputation you know." He huffed.
He's too stubborn, huh?
Maybe he needs a little push.
"Oh please, I have done a lot of rebelling than you did. Maybe I am better than you on one thing." She gave him a look of surprise. "Well, you know what means, I was and am still better than you after all."
She turned and walked away from him before he shouted, "You're mistaken! I am better than you! I will rebel and make that girl fall for me just you wait!" He grinned before walking out, his hair dancing in the wind.
Maybe he is a man now.
"Good morning, my lady!" Ava greeted, seeing her lady still lying down on her bed, eyes still sleepy-looking. A small hum was heard from her as the maid started, more like scolded, her master to get her ready for a new day ahead.
"Do I have anything on my schedule today, Ava?" She questioned as she ate her breakfast. "Not for today which is pretty surprising my lady, why do you ask?" The girl responded with another question.
"Do you want to go shopping with me today?" She grinned like a madman. "Is there a 'no' option?" She laughed then turned serious. "No." And with that, her maiden bowed. "Then I'll get myself ready for departure."
This is going to be a long day.
"What do you think a royal would like?" The young Florence asked, not really sure on what to give to her friend she hasn't seen in years. "How would I know that, my lady?" Ava asked back. "Because you're a royal too?"
"I'm nothing but a fallen one, my lady."
Ava Brooklyn.
A noblewoman and a daughter of a fallen viscount. Her father had already decided on an heir to the future of Brooklyn, his son and Ava's brother. But because that son fell in love with nothing but a commoner and ran away with that girl knowing his father would be furious, all hope was placed onto his youngest daughter.
But Ava Brooklyn didn't want to get married and be set off somewhere with an unknown person and so, she declined his offer a hundred times over and over again until the day the viscount died and the name 'Brooklyn' feels as if it was nothing but a delusional last name.
"You're not nothing," The Florence paused for a second, blocking the maid's way. "You're Ava and my personal assistant, maid, and reminders." She smiled before the maiden grinned. "Don't forget the 'alarm clock' part."
"Oh, shut up."
"Welcome, please take a look around and tell me what you find." A kind looking shop owner smiled at the two of them, making them smile back. "Thank you, kind sir."
"What about jewels? The princess's eyes looks like beautiful blue jewels after all." Ava suggested, looking around the whole store trying to find the perfect gift. "I'm sure she has a room full of those." Her lady stated."Then do you have something in mind?" The maid asked, holding up a small book full of hair accessories. "Hm, I'm still not sure myself." She huffed a sigh. Oh how long is this going to take? Probably a whole year.
But then again, the blond-haired girl did say she accepts whatever she gives her, whether it be a small antique to a huge castle full of books and maps.
"Should I just go for a castle then?" She asks herself, her maid interrupting her thoughts. "It's better if you don't, the emperor will likely build one for her even if she just thinks about getting one."
Right, Athanasia de Alger Obelia is a girl who has everything she needed and wanted, and even if she doesn't have that one thing, either the maids, guards, or even his majesty the emperor would give it to her without any hesitation.
"Look, my lady!" Her personal assistant beamed with an excited expression on her face. "What is it?" Viviance Florence asked, walking up to her maiden. "It's a book! But it's not just any book, it's a book that has all the names in the whole entire world! When you see your name, it give you the meaning behind it!"
"And what can I do with that, exactly?" She tilts her head, not really following, but she thinks that this lady-in-waiting of hers has some kind of scheme she's totally in for.
