Metamorphosis~

Its been 2 weeks since things have gotten back as usual.
I was now dragging myself as the holiday mood dooms me out of the peaceful, happy days I had.
Now, I'm standing in front of the Jeon's. The same place that took twists and turns in my life that I'm standing here today as a person who loves me for me.

I stride inside as I smile at familiar employees bowing at me respectfully.

Walking Into the elevator, I click on the buttons as it lifts me up to the designated floor.
The doors open with a chime and I see Jimin standing on the other side who looks at me surprised.

"Hey yoon!" He grins at me as his eyes crease into a line as thin as slits.
I smile at him,
"Hi, Jimin."
"Well, was looking for you. Boss wants you right now so you better hurry." He says as he enters inside and the doors close as I stand there flabbergasted.
The elevator leaves with me outside gaping at the now gone machine.

I snap out as the colours sink in. Yes, I haven't met him lately.
I must go.

I take a deep breathe before curling my fingers to knock the door.
I give in as I hear his deep voice signalling me to enter.
My stilletoes move in swiftly at the pale man, sitting in the centre.

He motions me to sit as I give out a smile.

"How are you, Ri Yoon?" He asks as I look at his face that now has dark circles smudged under his beautiful doe eyes.

Is he alright?

I nod as I open my mouth to ask him, but he cuts it off.
"I need you to do these paperworks please. I have an important meeting and will attend it so please get it ready before lunch." He looks back at his laptop as he fixes his glasses over his tiny nose.

I furrow my brows as I get up without questioning any further.
I don't want to violate work rules so I maintain it formally.

I walk out as I hold onto the files and bump into someone soon after.
My files fall on the floor and I look at the person to see...

Luna?

"I'm so sorry, Ri Yoon." She bends as she takes the files, handing it over.
I dust myself as I look at the sudden change in her attitude.
She doesn't boast anymore?

"I wanted to talk." She asks as I nod and move towards the cafe.

I stir the latte as Luna clears her throat.
"Since we weren't on good terms, I wanted to clear things up."
"Sure, go on." I assure her.

"I had a hard time bringing up myself. I was sexually assaulted by some bullies of my school when I was 14 and things changed ever since. I knew I had to be perfect in everything and only then people would love me as I have no flaws. But... I was wrong.
Things got worse when I had to work for this man, who owns a company and he promised to pay high."

Her voice breaks.

"But then, he wanted my body in return." She speaks out as I hold onto her hand.
"He was none other than Mr. Kim, Taehyung's father. He asked me to marry Taehyung and even forced me to but I denied and later, found myself falling for his nice personality. I knew he wouldn't like me because I'm just a whore."
She sobs out as she clutches her face, wiping out the tears that flew out like a steaming river.

"I worked behalf of his company and that how I joined ties with Jungkook. I also thought he was nice and wanted to give it a try cause my self esteem was way to high that I also tried to drug him."
My mouth opens wide.

"But I knew that he has no such desires towards me so I slid it off when everything dawned upon me that I'm not what I think I am and then I decided to pull my mask down."

I look at her, smiling as she straightens her figure feeling uncomfortable as she showed me her weak side.
I shrug and clap my hands slightly, feeling rather proud.
"Your such an amazing person. Everyone becomes good once they realise their wrongs." I say as her features soften.
"I wish you a good luck, Bae Luna!"

It was more like a metamorphosis. She changed to a beautiful person and she lives it in. I was extremely happy as I look at her smile widen.
We are on good terms now.

I walk out after and move to my desk to see the files laying untouched that vaguely reminded me of Jungkook.

He looked sulky, what's wrong though?
The phone rings. Sliding my hands inside the pocket of my suit I answer,
"Tae?"

"Ri, we have found an evidence for the murder and we need you."
