I Wish to Live Peacefully

What do you think about Human Village?

After those 'little' accident, finally I reach the only place where human mostly reside in this nonsense isolated world. Yes, I reach the village! Now, I can just walk there to the gate. The gatekeepers, two of them, I'm sure they already aware of my presence. As usual, they really wary by the sight of me. Since I come with no harm intention, I'm sure that I can convince them to let me in. Now, I really near to them, you can assume they will say the usual word.

"Halt! Who are you and state your business!"

"My name is Y/N L/N. I'm an outsider. You can tell it by my clothes, right? My only wish is to seek a place to live here."

"Are you sure? You probably a dangerous youkai in disguised."

"I'm sure of it, Sir. I am less than a day here. Somehow I found myself on a forest filled with youkais and fairies that nearly prey on me."

During this so called 'interrogation', no, more like formal things, I see one of them whispering to the one who is interrogating me. I would say they really pro at those whispering. It's so hard to hear it. I hope they make it quick since I really need a sleep. One day you just accept your life to be ended and after don't know how long after it you found yourself on the other world only to almost get eaten by it unique kind of population.

"I see...very well L/N. You may enter. Please seek Miss Keine, she'll help you to settle in."

"How to find her?"

"Search for the one and only terakoya (temple school) here. Ask people here for the way. She's a well-known figure here."

"Miss Keine, right? Based on your hint she's a teacher, huh. Thanks, Sir."

"You're welcome."

Now, I am able to enter the village. What do I think about it? You can say it just like on old Japanese period. What was the name of that period? Oh right, it's heian style. All of them mostly wear yukata and geta. I can't find any single person who use a pair of  boots or shoes yet. On each building they have lamps. I don't know if its run with electric or oil. If it's the later, I wonder why they not add some electricity yet. I mean there must be outsiders who came before me and have some invention from their life before getting transported here. Since there's no utility poles yet, I believe one of the reason is they prefer this lifestyle rather than change it. One can assume but not everyone is agreed. Well, just leave it to their own self.

Seeking a certain teacher is really easy. Even a passenger is really helping me. I can say they already used to outsiders. Whenever I get confused with the way, each time I asked they giving me pointers. Now, I think I already arrive on the temple school. Well, guess who is on the front of the school itself.

Here she is, Miss Keine. I can't remember what is her last name since it's to put it bluntly, mouthful. From this distance, I am now convince that her hair is silver and it has some bluish highlight. Her hat that take a shape like a building, blue in color with red ribbons that make her unique. Her theme mostly blues from hat to her dress except her sleeves. By appearance, I give ten out of ten for teacher style.

"My name is Y/N. Y/N L/N. Are you Miss Keine?"

"Nice to meet you, Mr. L/N. Yes, my name is Keine Kamishirasawa. You are an outsider that just come, right? How can I help you?"

"Actually, I just arrive in this world not long ago. I need a place to take a rest and maybe make a living."

"Can you remember where was the place you get transported to?"

"The place? It was a forest filled with fairies and youkais. I don't know if there's another forest but I remember I saw some colorful mushrooms on there."

"Do you remember how you get teleported there?"

"The last thing I remember was I am being hit by a high speed transportation."

Suddenly, a pair of arm hugging me. Keine is hugging me.

"It's frightening, isn't it? All those experience, just let it go."

Those words, she said it directly to my ear. It's really soothing me. I feels like some mental stress went away. All those experience of dying, those being preyed upon experience. It faded away. She really hold her job as a teacher, a great teacher in my book. After I am relaxed, she let go of the hug.

"Thank you, Miss Keine."

"Anytime, Y/N. Now, please follow me. We'll find an inn for you to rest and dine."

Then, she lead me to a local inn. I see Keine talk to the receptionist here. The receptionist say that I have three days free of meals here. She even lead me to where my room is. I will say the room is quite nice actually. You just have to feel enough with what you get and then you will feel suffice in mind and heart. After finishing my temporary settlement here, Keine then excuse herself and said that she'll go to her friend house. Well, I think it's time to getting know the people around the inn. Maybe on the next day I will find a job and some clothes.

-Change to other Person Perspective-

The house, it is surrounded with trees, bamboos. On the front of the lawn a certain teacher walking to it. There's also another being there. 

A white haired that reach her ankle. Those hair full of white-red ribbons with the biggest on top of her head. By the style of her clothing, anyone can tell that she's pretty tomboyish. Why would she use that kind of style? A tomboy will certainly tell that it easy to move with that. On her hakama or lower part, there's more than one of paper charms that who know what the use for. Only she can tell it.

"Oh, welcome Keine."

"Hello Mokou, I see you're not fighting Kaguya today."

"Tch, please don't say that harlot name. So, anything new on village?"

"Just the usual, but there's one outsider."

"Outsider? Is that usual?"

Before Keine explaining what is occupying her mind right now, she make tea for Mokou and herself.

"This time, it's really strange."

"Can you tell me about it?"

"Well, he's cold not by his personality but the body."

"So, he's dead?"

"No, he pretty much alive to me. If he's an undead, I could sniff a rotten flesh immediately. As if he just like Hakugyokuro's mistress but in reverse condition. I don't know if he is aware of that yet."

"How did he get here? Did she gapped him?"

"No, he said that after he died he got here."

"Do you think it really safe to let him live in the village?"

"For now, yes. But, only time will tell what will happen in the future."
