Chapter 11: Desperation
Inside a modern house in modern time Japan, five people is sitting around a table, every single one of them was shocked by what just happened. The we hdemon had struck again and this time, it happened right in front of their eyes.
'How did this happened?! What did we missed?!'
"Just how powerful is this demon anyway?" Tadano questions
"Apparently powerful enough to cast the spell right under our noses." Zenitsu is stressing out
"Kanao, can you tell me what just happened?" Aoi trying to seek an answer
"Kanao-san. Breathe. It's not over yet."
Tadano looks to his side and noticed the person next to him is barely breathing. Both her fist is clenched almost to the point of bleeding. This time, he learnt his lesson to not touch her whatsoever since he knows he will become the punching bag.
"How can I breathe, when that damn demon is out there scott free?" Kanao menacingly spoke
"At the very least, we know it wasn't Nakanaka-san. But that does leave one suspect though."
"That means, the only one who could've done is, that weirdo." Inosuke being reasonable
"What's her name again?" Zenitsu asked
"Yamai-san. I don't usually get close to her so I didn't notice any change on her." Tadano testified
"I don't get it. That night, that demon was dressed up exactly like her." Kanao is getting frustrated
"What do you remember seeing that night Kanao?" Aoi trying to calm her down
"I saw her school jacket was hanging off of her shoulders. And I'm pretty sure she had a black sweater and black hair. What got me the most is the eye patch she's wearing."
"That's why you thought it was Nakanaka-san." Tadano concluded
"I don't get it! She grinned at me just this morning at school!" Kanao yelled
"Maybe that's just her nature. She tends to think that bumping into you could remove her curse."
"Curse?" The others is shocked especially Aoi
"No no. It's just her imagination. It's not an actual curse." Tadano began to panic
"Come to think of it, that Gomai person is wearing black sweater on that day. When I looked at her bag, it got the uniform jacket as well as some kind of fake hair." Inosuke stated
"Why are you looking at someone else's stuff Inosuke?" Aoi gets triggered
"What? I thought she looked suspicious so I dig deep."
"And you didn't even bother telling us both?" Zenitsu crossed his arm
"I didn't think it was important at the time alright?!"
"Are you saying, she did this on purpose. Thinking we would suspect Nakanaka-san and went to her house to investigate further. And she knew this would happen?" Kanao mumbles
"Think of it. That girl didn't know we were going here and yet, she appeared out of thin air when we arrived." Inosuke said
"Then, we have no choice. Do you mind if we behead her Tadano-kun?" Kanao sadistically said
Tadano was shocked hearing her voice changed. She isn't the calm person he thought he knew before. He thinks of the offer and thought nothing about Yamai Ren. All she did to him are bad deeds and kidnapping him as well as threaten his own life. He made up his mind.
