"But 'just friends' don't look at each other like that."

"Tom and Jerry." A girl with a bulky figure and smaller height stood at the entrance of the room. Her orbs shinning with the same mischievousness visible in Dhruv's orbs.
"Amu..." Kiara was stunned at seeing a familiar figure. She stood from her chair and rushed towards the individual and pulled her into a hug. "I missed you..." she whispered as the other one giggled seeing her excited self.
"I missed you so much..." Said the latter as she wrapped her arms around Kiara.
"When you arrive?" Kiara inquired pulling away from the hug. "And why weren't I informed?" Her accusing orbs averted from Amrita to Dhruv.
"What?" Dhruv defended. "I am not at fault. She pleaded to not voice it to you." Informed Dhruv staring at her sister who was smiling at their exchange.
"Yes!" Exclaimed Amrita, side hugging Kiara. "I wanted to surprise you as you love surprises." That brought a wide smile to Kiara's face. "I have so many things to share with you. I mean it been days we had a proper talk..."
"I am sorry to burst your bubble, dear sweet sister." Dhruv jumped in between halting the two from grabbing a seat on the nearby couch. "Kiara is busy with her..." he eyed the open laptop screen. "Article?" It was rather a question for which Kiara nodded in confirmation. "You see?" A wonderful smirk was playing on his lips as a cute pout developed on his sister's face.
"I am never busy for Amu." Commented Kiara making Dhruv scowl at her while Amrita giggled.
"That's partiality." He grumbled, "a minute back. You weren't averting your gaze from that annoying screen. And now all of sudden you're free." That came in a mocking manner.
"That was because I was giving you a hint to walk off. But no, your stupid mind won't ever get that." Kiara remarked, a second later regretted it as she glimpsed at the sudden emotion passing his face but it was brushed off a minute later.
"Were you trying to drive me away?" His brow raised in question. There wasn't a hint that he was offended by her those statements yet deep within she felt it but brushed it off.
"Finally, you got it." She had voiced it in a mocking manner that she had always used against him. A giggle popped out of Amrita on listening to Kiara's comeback.
"If that's so then fine. I won't disturb..." he growled walking out of the room and leaving them two behind. Kiara stared at his retreating direction with concern while Amrita just shove it off.
"He and his dramas..." Those were the words rolled down from Amrita. And yet Kiara felt it wasn't drama but her words had upset him. She wanted to follow him down but was also uncertain about her assumptions. She couldn't be blamed for doubting it as he often had laughed at her so-called assumptions.
Diverting her concentration on Amrita, she began to ask her about her life. "How is it going over there? Studies are having a tough hold over you?"
Amrita giggled agreeing with her words but a minute later she glanced at the open door. "Kiara, I wanted to share something." She was hesitating but Kiara's assuring smile motivated her to continue. "You will understand, right? This is something new..." Kiara could sense her nervousness.
"I will... I had always attempted to..." Kiara mentioned making a small smile to reach Amrita's face.
"I know, and that's why I felt that I could share it with only you." She muttered and waited for a minute. Kiara provided her with the space she needed, she wanted to make her feel comfortable. "This... there is a guy and I guess I am getting attracted to him. He isn't my type, you know... rowdy, rude, arrogant not someone I would ever like but still... this person grabs my attention. I hate to admit it Kiara but..." She was sounding guilty and Kiara could understand it.
