"Who gives a damn about your first love?  Give a big round of applause for your second love. Because they taught you love still exists after you thought it never could again."

"Why are you so nervous?" Harshad chuckled, glancing at Kiara who was biting her lower lip in nervousness. "Don't worry, you don't have to impress my dad. He had decided to make you his daughter-in-law long back." Kiara ignored his comment, which made Harshad realize the seriousness of the matter.

"Kiara," he whispered. Kiara stared at him in anxiousness. "He is just my dad," he assured her, squeezing her hand in his.

Kiara sighed, "is it necessary that I need to meet him?" She sounded worried.

"What makes you so scared of him?" He inquired, getting concerned.

Kiara averted her gaze, staring out the window as the vehicle kept moving. "I am not good with this stuff." Kiara confessed softly, "Dhruv's father never adored my presence. Neither Avni's parents were fond of me nor Aditi's dad. I don't think, I will be able to see your dad's judging gaze on me." Kiara glanced at Harshad after not receiving any comments from him on the matter. Harshad was staring at Kiara with an unreadable expression. Kiara groaned to herself, "why do even I blabber? Why can't I keep things to myself when you're beside me?" She muttered lowering her head in embarrassment.

"Hey," Harshad protested, reaching for her chin and raising it to his eye level. "You don't need to be embarrassed by yourself. Instead, I feel privileged when you utter those words without giving thought to my presence. It feels as if you trust me." He mumbled making Kiara's orbs soften in relief.

"How do you do that?" She groaned making Harshad smile at her cute antics. "How can you make me so comfortable even if I feel embarrassed?"

"Are you complaining or praising?" Harshad inquired in a teasing manner.

Kiara shook her head, hitting on his shoulder. "You know... what I mean," she muttered softly.

Harshad chuckled, "do you have any idea how adoring you're? I pity those who never got a free ticket inside your inner kid. It is a long process reaching there and people should value the opportunity if they were ever rewarded with it." Harshad eyes got hard. Kiara glanced at him in a pleading manner. He had indirectly brought Dhruv into their conversation.

"Can't you forgive him?" Kiara requested, "I won't be able to forgive myself if you are having hard feelings towards him due to me."

"You would have reacted in the same manner if you were in my shoes. You would have never forgiven that person." Kiara stared at him not responding to his conclusion because he was stating facts. Silence prevailed around them for a minute longer, Harshad shook his head seeing Kiara's sad face. "Let's forget about him and let's worry how are you going to impress my dad to make you his daughter-in-law?" Harshad winked making Kiara glare in his direction.

Kiara took a step inside the large mansion, her eyes were strolling at every corner, adoring the beautiful, lavish mansion. Harshad eyes were fixed on Kiara, an amused smile playing on his lips.

Kiara wasn't able to believe the beauty presented to her. Those big ceilings she felt as if they reached the sky, the beautiful design carved on them. The walls were painted in beige color coordinating well with the white ceiling. Branded pieces of furniture were arranged neatly in the living area, not a thing out of place.
