ZOE WALKED INTO HAWKINS HIGH SCHOOL. Keeping her head hung low refusing to make eye contact with anyone she walked past. Clinging onto her bag while making her way through the crowd of people heading towards the gymnasium for the pep rally the school did every year or in a much more simplistic way, whenever Jason fancied to hold one.

Zoe looked up for a split second and saw Max talking to the school counsellor, she's not sure what about though, Zoe may be quiet and mysterious but she sure does stay out of other peoples business, she learnt that the hard way. Max and Zoe were close last year, best friends, that was until the incident with Billy, the one in star court mall. Zoe and Billy had a little fling over the summer you could say, and Max caught the two this one time, they were in his room, and Max wasn't supposed to be home at all, but she heard giggling, she always thought her step brother was a representation of the evil step sister from Cinderella, so him laughing sounded to her like he was sick or something, but her curiosity got the best of her and she decided to look and there they were, caught red handed. The black haired girl felt like whenever Max looks at her, all she's reminded off is her brother; Zoe wouldn't blame her, the pair were technically inseparable through the summer. All she could see was Billy in her too. Even though they weren't related, all 3 of them had some great memories together even if they weren't the closest, without Zoe.

Zoe made eye contact with the red haired girl, with the headphones around her neck, not taking interest in what the teacher was saying. She was quick to look away.

Making her way into the gym, she tried to find a space, people were stood waiting for Jason, the schools "hot boy" to come out.

"Excuse me, 'cuse me." Shoving peoples shoulders trying to get to where Mike and Dustin were, standing in their 'Hellfire Club' shirts. Zoe thought it was stupid. Zoe thought they were stupid hanging out with this expected cult leader. Surely he couldn't be that interesting...

She was cut out of my trance when she heard the drumming band play the familiar beat played every single year. The girl was tired of it. Tired of school. Tired of life.

Jason's voice rang through the speakers, people cheered like he was some form of celebrity that everyone knew.

"Good morning, Hawkins High!"

Here we go..

"First off... Hey. First of I'd like to thank each and every one of you" Zoe rolled her eyes. She had absolutely no interested in what this joke of a man was saying. "Without your support, we wouldn't be here. Give yourself a big hand" The crowd erupted into applauses yet again. "And of course, of course I have to give a special shout-out to the best and prettiest fans of all time, the Tiger Cheer Squad."

"Chrissy... Chrissy, I love you babe"

"Chrissy I love you babe." Zoe mimicked   Jason, until she someone shove her lightly, just enough so she would slightly fall. "Shut up" It was Mike, he had a large smile spread across his face, I guess you could say their hatred for Jason was shared.

"You know... I think I can speak for all of us when i say it's been a though year for Hawkins. So much loss. And sometimes I wonder 'how much loss can one community take?' In dark days like this, we need something to believe in. So last night when we were down by ten points at half to Christian Academy. I looked at my team and i said 'Think of Jay' 'Think of Melissa' 'Think of Heather' 'Think of Billy'"

Billy. His name rung through Zoe's ears, she looked over at Max, her head was hung low. The girl couldn't listen to this soppy shit anymore.

She grabbed my bag and flung it over her shoulders leaving the gym.

"Move, Get Out my Way, move! MOVE!"
She said using my elbows to get past people.

She pushed open the double doors aware that everyone was watching me including Jason himself. Where should i go? She asked herself. Her thoughts soon took over as she decided to walk through the hallways, looking down again so she wouldn't have to face communication with others or confrontation of teachers asking me why she was roaming the halls.

Until her shoulder hit someone.

"S-S-Sorry" Zoe whipped her head round so she could apologise

"Hey, it's ok sweetheart"

"Eddie. Don't Call me that" Zoe spat at him. She despised this man with a passion.

"Then Zoe. Is that better?"

The blue eyed girl turned around to walk away from the conversation, not wanting it to carry out any longer

"Hey, Wait!" Zoe felt her arm being grabbed, pulling her back to face Munson.

"Let go of me." yanking her arm out of his grip, he made eye contact, almost as if he was worried. Pft. He wasn't worried. All he cared about was himself. Everyone knew that.

"I-"

"Shut it"
