Both Elijah and Finn looked at me with wide eyes making me snort behind my hand as I tried to control my laughter.

Elijah rolled his eyes "Elskan your humor astounds me" he said drolly.

I smirked making Elijah shake his head fondly.

I glanced at Finn to see him looking at the floor pensive "Finn, do you have anything you want to say?" I asked carefully.

Finn looked up with surprise written on his face before he schooled his features and shook his head with a small smile "No, while I am more than happy to have children I think Elijah might be the best choice for this. I am relatively unknown, Not many would be intimidated by me. Having Elijah be the father will give you more protection. It's not as if we will never have children, I'm planning on being a close second" Finn said with a playful edge to his voice.

I smiled "If that's what you want" I said with a gentle nod.

Finn nodded with a reassuring smile "it is, the fact we can have children at all is magnificent. I would be happy to start now but we have to be smart about this. I and Elijah discussed it, we're both more than ready for children but Elijah's reputation will give you and the baby more protection. I don't think it will take too long for the family reputation as a whole to truly sink in. Then we can try for one of our own, give the little one a sibling" he said with a dreamy smile.

I smiled as well at the image of a little girl and boy, running around the yard being chased by Finn and Elijah while me Kol and Nik sat on a blanket smiling. Kol's hands running over my swollen belly.

It was a beautiful image, of a beautiful family, one day it would happen. I will give us that happiness if it's the last thing I do.

New Orleans better be prepared for what's coming, cuz it will never be the same again.

~~~~~~~~
By the time we reached New Orleans, I was 2 weeks pregnant. Normally you can't tell this early but I could feel my child's magic the moment it was conceived.
It felt like a small buzzing of happy energy, it was normal for Taylor witches with the influx of magic.
I would be able to feel the baby's moods in a month or two, my magic could also become slightly unstable with my hormones and if the baby perceives any type of danger my magic can react very negatively and lash out at anything around me.
While I'm pregnant the baby's magic is entwined with mine meaning the baby's intentions can affect my spellwork. About a week before I give birth the baby will start separating their magic from mine, otherwise the sudden pulling on my magic could have lasting damage to my powers.
This made it crucial that I don't go into sudden labor brought on by outside factors. It was slightly terrifying given how Hope was born in the show but I was confident in my abilities to keep myself safe in the last month. Not to mention my mate's capabilities to not let anything near me, Elijah had already been extremely territorial since he found out.
The rest of my mates were more protective but Elijah was on a completely different level, He only trusted coven members to come even close to me.
One of the Hybrids had asked me a question the other day, the poor guy had been chucked into the ocean. The hybrid took it with grace but the lesson was learned by all, apparently, there was now an unspoken rule of 10 ft.
The girls found it adorable and their mates thought it was hilarious and kept seeing if they can set off Elijah for sport. Well, that's mostly Damon, the rest of the guys just find it funny...
I could tell all my mates weren't happy to be in this city, they missed it but they knew the dangers it holds.
We were staying under the radar for now and docked before taking a couple of cars to the mansion.
Amusingly Nik had bought the same one as in the show, the hybrids were already at the mansion getting it ready.
I knew we were slightly ahead of schedule, The beginning of the Originals took place in May while currently, it was still the beginning of April. It isn't much of a head start but it's something.
I was hoping to stay under Marcel's radar for a bit, maybe pass ourselves off as rich tourists for a few weeks.
We had seemed to blend in well enough on the docks, nothing screamed Supernatural.
Hopefully, Marcel's little henchmen don't put too much stock in us.
If anything gave us away it would be Davina but since she was only connected with Ancestral magic we should be fine.
It was actually interesting how the city was almost in its own bubble, well in deaths plane anyway. The city seemed to be its own little area, it's inside Qatsiyah's realm but hidden from her influence, it felt almost like it fed off the other side but was separate, instead of the power of their souls being given to Qatsiyah it was given back to the living witches.
It was an interesting workaround, something I could most definitely exploit...
