Chapter 19

Allison raised her eyebrows as she invited Josh into her home after Nik requested she do so. She had left him in charge of infiltrating Marcel's army and keeping him distracted and apparently he was following the same methods as the show.

She watches casually as Nik drains the blood from the vampire Josh had kidnapped in thier basement "You're going to have to buy a shed or something when the baby comes, we can't have torture in the house" she said casually making Josh look at her with wide eyes.

"How often do you torture people?" he asked unnerved by her and Nik being so casual.

Ally shrugged "I would say once a month on average, give or take depending on how many people are trying to kill us at that time. This isn't even torture, we're just draining him so Nik can compel him. Though I suppose him using an inferior method could be considered cruel" she said as she gave her mate the side eye.

Nik huffed "Hanging him upside down is just overkill Love" he said with no emotion in his voice as if they had this conversation a lot.

She rolled her eyes "Not when it gets the job done in the most efficient way, at least drain him from the carotid artery, this is just lazy work" she said before picking up a knife and slicing through the vampire's neck, smirking as a fresh wave of blood drained out of his gaping throat.

Josh took a scared step back while Nik gave her a look of exasperation making her raise an eyebrow "What? The longer we keep him the more time Marcel has to get suspicious" she said before grabbing the vampire's face and turning him to face her mate "This one is only useful if we can get him in undetected" she said condescendingly as she looked at Marcel's little nightwalker with amusement, ignoring the blood that was getting on her hands.

She dropped his face and wiped her hand off on the clean part of his shirt before stepping away "We haven't been able to get one of the hybrids close. We have 30 pairs of eyes around the city yet none in Marcel's compound besides Josh here" she said turning towards the vampire that she actually liked.

He was funny in the show and she adored him and Aiden, but right now he was working for the enemy and it would be a while until she could really trust him.

Josh looked at her with wide eyes that flicked between her and Klaus and occasionally the vampire hanging by his wrists.

"I..I've done everything you've asked" he said, his voice raising an octave as he took a step back. She smiles at him, hoping to calm him down but it does the opposite. In all fairness, he did just see us slit a vampire's throat...

"We know, calm down. I actually like you Josh, You're a good guy and when all this is finished you'll probably come out alive. I'll even make you a daylight ring for free, hell if we have time for it I might just introduce you to a hot werewolf who I just know is your type" she said with a grin on her face.

Josh looked towards Nik who shrugged, used to his mate's antics by now.

"UUUmmm okay, sure what's he look like?" he asked, taking another step back. Josh desperately wanted some distance from the crazy woman before him.

Allison's grin grew as she pulled out her phone "I was hoping this would happen! Here I took a picture! I think you two are gonna hit it off so well!" she said as she showed him the picture she had sneakily taken of Aiden after he had put on his pants when Lydia drained the curse from the Crescent Pack.

She had taken the picture purely to play matchmaker, she had enough shirtless men in her life. It was the only reason Kol hadn't thrown her phone in the bayou.

Josh's eyes widened when he took in the photo, taking a step closer and nodding "Okay yeah you can definitely set me up with him" he said, eyes not leaving the picture.
