Captured Moments—
You finally spoke your truth, deal with it.
Y/N breathed in the heavy smoke, leaving gray clouds rise into the air. She shivered in the cold, her hair was still damp, the only source of warmth being the blanket. Her shoes were placed on the sidewalk next to her sitting down, feet placed on the road. She couldn't go to Nancy's, her mom would ask where her friend was. So now she was stuck in the sidewalk, some weird street named oak, Y/N never heard of it. The trees rustled against each other, the sound of the wind blew over. All she needed was somewhere to be in, her eyes grew heavy, she needed another one. Looking over at the box of Marlboros, there was none left.
"Shit," She mumbled, standing up and crushing the box with her feet. Before she did anything else, the streetlights dimmed and went back to its lighting, they were flickering slowly. Slightly in fear, she began to put on her shoes that felt dryer and then her feet began to guide her down the street.
A pit in her stomach was being sensed, a worry rushed in, she sped her pace up, taking a right on the block. Y/N regretted her decision on leaving, now she was left alone in a neighborhood. Her paranoia struck her, nothing was behind her, but a feeling was alarming that something happened, a gut feeling to be specific.
Her initial thought was to go through the woods to get home by the trailer park, but she knew it could lead her to some danger, Will was missing near it to be fair. If she went back to Steve's, it would show her weakness towards the group, something she didn't want anyone to see. Nobody.
Debates and debates ran through her mind, she was stuck. It was upsetting to know that she wasn't even allowed in her own residence, like no where was her home. The vulnerability reached her, tears flowed into her eyes, droplets fell and somehow, her eyes grew heavy, almost as if she was slipping away from her surroundings and consciousness, the view slowly fading to black.
The warmth on Y/N's face gleamed her, making her eyes open after a long sleep, that felt like years. Swollen eyes made it difficult to make her become conscious of her surroundings, sitting up she noticed she was back on her soft bedspread covering her.
Rapidly, her glance shifted around the room, the same old vinyl player on the furniture, the messy floors covered with clothes, the light curtains brushing against the window softly.
Her feet reached to the ground to get up, the familiar sensation of the carpet rustling through her. Y/N opens the door to find her father finishing the last of his cup of coffee, unaware that his daughter was awake.
Y/N felt confusion flood her brain, trembling as she stepped outside, the floor slightly creaking that caught her father's attention.
"Looks like you're up."
She nods, trudging next to him in her damp clothes from the night before, "I'm confused I.."
"What do you mean you're confused?" Hopper grunts, grabbing his hat to place it on his head, a frown painted on his face, "I don't think you were so confused when being found sleeping on the ground with a whole box of cigarettes right?"
Awestruck, Y/N frantically peered at her socks, guilty of her actions, she had no excuses to make, and she knew she'd get into way more trouble if she ratted out Nancy.
"I was worried sick, you don't even realize it," He shook his head, his voice was firm, "You were supposed to be at the Wheeler's, what happened?"
"I can't recall dad," Y/N lied, wrapping her arms around herself, "I think I wandered off at night for a walk?"
