"I beg your pardon" -Clayton

"My guess is we should split up." Clayton said. "Why would we split up? Don't we have more of a fighting chance if we stick together?" Emily asked. "I see your thought process there Clayton." Ezra said. "You do?" Clayton was way more confused about that than he should be."Yes..You're saying it'd be harder for their team to find us, if all of us are split up. They can't find us all at once, there aren't enough of them for that." Ezra said. They had a game plan now..Stay as far away from each other as possible! "Wait, think about that for a second." As they were about to split up Sam interrupted the process.. "What?" Clayton became extremely confused. "It's not just Veronica and Hailee that make that team so good..It's gotta be something else too." Sam was trying to think about Hailee's team. "Or rather, someone else.." Ezra added. There was a long pause..Then all the sudden Ezra and Sam yelled. "Sara!" Who? "Sara, the other member of Hailee's team! She can clone herself, and other people." Ezra explained. That's not good, how are they supposed to win, when the other team can literally, be EVERYWHERE at once!? "Well, even if she can be everywhere at once, it's not literal. No one at our age knows how to fully control their power, so she still has limits." Clayton started to think, he knew the logic that went with having powers, better than most people his age. "So our plan isn't trash, it's like how im unable to use my power all the time." Ezra said. "And..! Like how I can't over use my power!" Emily added. It seemed like Emily hadn't spoken the entire time, other than maybe twice. "But now, can we please just split up before our hiding time is over!" Jalen said very frustrated. So the group split up, as they all ran into a different side of the maze. "Ah!" "Eep!" Clayton and Emily ran into each other, Clayton had caught Emily's hand and stopped her from falling. "Sorry Clay! Also thank you for catching me!" Emily said. "Of Course. But there will be a problem if we don't actually have a place to hide. We can't just run around the entire time, we'll get caught." Clayton said, placing his hands on Emily's shoulders and beginning to lightly shake her. "Right!" Emily said, looking very disoriented. Emily quickly shook her head for a moment, then continued running away from Clayton. Before Clayton could start moving again, Ezra started talking on the ear piece, "I hope you guys are hiding, cause times up." Clayton was terrified, if anyone saw his face it would've been clear he was scared for his life. Clayton blinked a few times before getting back into his right mind, "why was he so scared? He wasn't usually scared of Hailee, or any of her friends." Clayton thought to himself. He begane running again, he found a small area large enough to hide in, there wasn't much in it, but it was enough to hide him for a few minutes.

Clayton was strangely worried about his team. He knew everyone would be fine, but why didn't he feel safe? He felt worried, like their lives were in danger. Harvard wouldn't let Hailee actually hurt them? Would she..? Clayton became extremely anxious, so he wanted to check up on his team, he lifted his hand to the ear piece, then pressed a button. "Hey guys, how's everyone doing? Anyone seen Hailee yet?" He waited a moment, with no reply. "Hey! Sorry these things are super delayed, but I haven't." Clayton was relieved when he heard Sam. "Jalen here. No signs of Hailee, or any of her team." Coming from three out of five, it was quite strange none of them had seen anyone yet. "Did we forget something about her team or something?" Sam asked, at this point those three were equally confused. "It's a little strange that Ezra and Emily are dead silent." Jalen said. It was true. Ezra would've normally started getting on to them already, telling them they should shut up or something. Clayton didn't need to see their faces to know, they were all worried about those two. The three sat there in silence for a few minutes, but then they heard someone trying to talk to them. "Ezra?" Sam asked. It was hard to hear the person for a second. "Guys! Oh thank god you can hear me! Abby stopped my communicator from working!" Ezra sounded like he had been running for a while now. "I'm going to send you my location, you have to get to it as fast as you can!" Ezra was serious. Emily still hadn't said a word. The team was ready to get to Ezra. Clayton saw the location, he noticed it wasn't that far from him, he would have to find his way through the maze to get there. "Ezra! Are you ok!?" Sam saw Ezra. he had a few cuts that had obviously gone through his clothes. "Yeah. I ran into Hailee and her team on the way to find Emily." Ezra was tired, and he didn't sound like his usual self. "Wait on your way to find Emily?" Sam asked. "Yeah..Didn't you get her message?" Ezra asked, he looked shocked when the three of them shook their heads. "All we got was silence for 12 minutes." Jalen added. "Piece two and two together guys.." Clayton said. They all looked back at him with a confused expression. "Emily was attacked, or found if you will. Think about it. Ezra got a message from Emily, that she was obviously asking him to help her, but on his way he ran into Hailee" Clayton said. "So wouldn't she be out?" Sam asked, saying what everyone was thinking. "Well, not exactly." Clayton said. "I don't get it. Explain.." Ezra said..."What?" Sam said, slowly turning to face Ezra. "I beg your pardon." Clayton said, walking closer to Ezra, Sam, and Jalen.

So this part kinda just cuts off, but if more people interact with this series, I'll be motivated to actually post chapter sized parts up every time!
