Clayton and Hailee then started to go back to their houses, after a very chaotic first day of school. Clayton pulled his keys out of his backpack pocket. He slowly unlocked the front door. He walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. "Welcome home Clayton!" Clayton's mother yelled from the kitchen. Then she walked into the living room. "Hey mom." Clayton was tired, he just wanted to eat and plop on a bed. "Well, how was school?" Clayton's mom wanted to know what his life was like. "The Daywalker already knows I'm a Nightwalker.." Clayton sounded very calm. His mother's face lit up in shock. "She was okay with it?!" Clayton's mother knew, if Hailee hadn't been okay with Clayton being a Nightwalker, he wouldn't have come home. "She was rather happy about it actually.." Clayton was very calm at this point, he had no real reason to have any other emotion. "That's great!" Clayton's mother was thrilled to hear Clayton was accepted where he was. "Also, she?" His mother teased him. "Mom! What the heck!" Clayton's mother had done this with every female he's talked about. Like most mothers. "Well me and your sister are making dinner." Clayton's mother said. "Okay." Clayton got up from the couch and walked through a hallway and up the stairs. "Agh" Clayton had bumped into someone, he looked up to see his sister's boyfriend. "Oh..Sorry Caleb.." Clayton wasn't very fond of the fact his sister was going to marry Caleb. "It's alright Clayton." Caleb was walking around the house with a confused face. "Kitchen's down stairs to the left, you can't miss it." Clayton said as he pointed towards the stairs. "Oh! Thanks!" In Clayton's opinion Caleb was dumb, he thought his sister deserved someone less careless. But it wasn't his place to say anything and he knew that. Clayton walked down the hallway, then stopped at the door in the middle of the rest of the doors. He opened it and went inside, making sure to shut the door behind him. He walked over to his bed and sat down. Clayton sighed as he started to unpack a few books from his backpack. He sat two on his bed next to him, and opened up to a page that was bookmarked in the third. A few minutes had passed as he read through his book, someone knocked on his door and stepped inside without Clayton's response. "Reading about Daywalkers again?" It was Clayton's older brother Asher. "You're such a nerd!" Asher liked to joke about Clayton's obsession with reading about Magic. This was normal for both of them. "It means a little more after you meet one." Clayton said, not taking his head away from the book. "Wait! You've met a Daywalker!?" Asher was shocked, meeting a daywalker was like a dream for Clayton's family. "Yeah. She was supposed to try and kill me and my friends in our first class." Clayton wasn't paying much attention to Asher, he was more concerned about learning what Daywalkers do. "Woah! What and whose class are you in?!" Asher had gone to the same highschool Clayton was in but his teachers were fairly kind. "Harvard..It was a Death match of Hide and Seek..." Clayton's voice sounded normal, which caught Asher off guard. "Well. Good luck with your school year.." It seemed as though Asher was actually concerned for Clayton. "Well I'm going back into my room now, nerd." Asher said as he turned around, and walked out Clayton's door. It was true Clayton's school year would be harder than anyone else in his family. I should go check on Mom and Scyeris (Sigh-ris) Clayton got up from his bed and placed his book on his dresser. He turned around and grabbed the other two books that were sitting on his bed, and placed them into a drawer. Clayton didn't own a bookshelf, he didn't read that often. He walked over to his door, opened it and walked out. He walked over to the stairs and walked down. "Perfect timing Clayton! Dinner's ready, come make a plate." Clayton's mother said. He walked over to the kitchen. Sushi, Lo Mein, and rice. A normal dish for Clayton's family. He grabbed two sushi rolls with a disgusted look on his face, a large serving of Lo Mein, and a small serving of rice. He wasn't that hungry. He turned around and grabbed a pair of chopsticks. He was the only one taught by their father how to use chopsticks, but his father left, and none of them know why. He took his plate over to the table and walked over to his usual seat. His mother knew he didn't like fish, or Sushi, which made Clayton wonder why his mother had made Sushi instead of another kind of meat. Then Scyeris walked in holding Caleb's hand. "Oh my gosh! This is my favorite meal!" Caleb said in an annoying surprised voice. Clayton knew immediately that his sister had asked their mother to make Caleb's favorite meal. His face looked annoyed, he then started to eat his food. He didn't wait for anyone else to sit down. Then Scyeris sat down a seat away from Clayton, there was one seat in between them. Caleb sat down in the seat.. "That's not your seat." Before Clayton could say anything Asher walked over. "I'm sorry dude, I was just trying to sit next to my girlfriend." Caleb said, acting like Asher was being rude. " Babe that is actually Asher's seat.." Scyeris said. "Oh! I'm so sorry!" Caleb got out of Asher's seat and walked around to the other side of Scyeris. "Can I sit here?" Scyeris nodded as Caleb sat down. Clayton had finished his food already, he stood up, washed his plate and chopsticks. Then he walked back up the stairs into his room. "What's his problem?" Caleb asked. "He doesn't really like you, he thinks Scye should've been with someone less careless..I agree with him.." Asher said as he looked straight at Caleb. "Hey! Be a little bit nicer! It's not like Clayton matters at all!" Scyeris said. Only Asher and his mother knew he was a Nightwalker, the most powerful person in their family. "Trust me Scye, if you tried to beat him.. You'd be eating your words.." Asher was sick of Scyeris's nonsense. Asher stood up and washed his plate. He went upstairs to Clayton's room. " You're right..That Caleb guy is the worst.." Asher said. "Yup, knew that long ago." Clayton was reading his book again. He was being sarcastic. "Can you guess what his power is? He manipulates Earth.." Asher said disappointed. "So like the most common power ever?" Clayton said as he closed his book. "Yeah!" Asher said. Clayton and Asher sat there in silence for a minute. Then Clayton got up and put his book in the drawer with the others. "Now get out. I'm going to sleep." Clayton said. Asher turned around and walked out. Clayton changed and plopped onto his bed. He got comfortable and went to sleep. "Clayton It's time to get up!" Clayton's mother yelled from downstairs. Clayton was prepared for another chaotic day at school. He opened his drawer, took out some dark blue pair of jeans, a cyan shirt, a darker pink-ish shirt, and a beanie that matched his shirt. He walked into Scyeris's room. She was sitting on her bed on her phone. "Hey Scye. Can you braid my hair?" Clayton asked knowing he had no clue how to do his hair, the day before he had folded it into a black beaning to make it look short. "Yeah of course!" She enjoyed doing his hair, even if she was two years older than him. He walked over to her bed and sat on the floor by her bed. She scooted over to where she could reach his head. "I thought you didn't like it when people knew how long your hair is?" She said as she braided his hair. " I don't really care. After all, when you're the Daywalker's friend, people don't dare make fun of you." Clayton said proud of himself. "Wow! I'd love to meet them!" Scyeris always wanted to meet a Daywalker. "I'll talk to her today I guess." Clayton said. "Done! Your hair looks great!" Scyeris always liked how CLayton's hair looked. "Thanks." Clayton got up and walked out. He put on his beanie and a pair of round glasses. "Forgot these yesterday." Clayton grabbed his backpack and walked out of his room. He ate his breakfast quickly, then he walked out the door. He was walking to school. He finally got there. He heard a few people comment about his hair, surprisingly enough most people liked it. He walked into the school and to his locker. "Hey Clayton!" Sam yelled from down the hall. "Since when was your hair pink!?" Ezra asked, apparently Ezra had never noticed Clayton's hair was baby pink. "It's always been pink.." Clayton said, grabbing books from his locker. "It's so long!" Emily said as she walked in front of Ezra. "It was under my beanie yesterday..But still how did you not notice it was pink?" Clayton replied. "Wait, who has pink hair?" Autumn asked, Autumn had a better first day then the rest of the group. They had art instead of hide and seek. "My hair." Clayton said as he closed his locker, and pointed to his head. "Oh. I knew that. But when did it get so long?" Autumn said. "Apparently it was already that long.. He just tucked it into a beanie." Sam explained. "Wait wouldn't that be itchy?" Jalen aske. Clayton did a long pause. "I got lucky, and it, somehow was not." Clayton said. "Come on guys. We should probably get to class before we're late.." Clayton said as he walked down the hallway towards the classroom. He stepped in, and was greeted with several blank stares. "Good morning Mr. Nightwalker.." Ms. Harvard said as Clayton stood by the door. Hailee walked over to Clayton and pulled him to his desk by his arm. "Don't worry, The same thing happened when people found out I was a Daywalker." Hailee reassured Clayton that the reaction wasn't bad. "Guess what class. You get to do a normal class.. Pencils out!" Ms. Harvard said. That was actually the best thing she could've said. After class ended Clayton dropped off some books and went over to Hailee's locker to hang out with them. "Clayton! Come on, let's go to our next class! The rest of you can go walk with your other friends." Hailee said. She seemed to really be interested in Clayton (It's platonic fans) "Hey Hailee?" Clayton said. "Yeah?" Hailee asked. "My mother wanted to meet the one and only Daywalker everyones talking about. She invited you to dinner, if you'd like to go?" Clayton asked, "Sure!" Hailee said. They walked into their next class, to be greeted by people taking pictures. "Don't over-welm them! Phones away! I'm so sorry you two.. Thank you for volunteering! Im Ms. Tanner!" Ms. Tanner said. Clayton was puzzled, he hadn't volunteered for anything? "Of course! Clayton, now people know you're a Nightwalker, you're going to be super popular." Hailee said. "You don't say.." Clayton said nervously. They sat in that class for an entire hour, doing almost nothing. Clayton bagane to question why he had told Hailee he was a Nightwalker. They walked out of the class to go back to Mrs. Harvard. "Where were you two?" Sam asked. "Hailee signed us up for a modeling thing for the art students." Clayton said miserably. "How was that?" Jalen asked jokingly. "I think all of us can guess." Emily said. Then Clayton noticed something, "Where's Ezra?" Clayton asked. "He used his new popularity to get new 'cooler' friends.." Sam said. "Yeah.. He ditched us for that Keegan guy.." Autumn said. They all hated Keegan, but what made them sad was that Ezra had left them for someone like Keegan. The only reason Keegan liked Clayton, was because he's a Nightwalker.
