"The new school, will we meet again?" Clayton thought. 'It's been a few years since we split, the last time I saw them was 7th grade. I was the only one who had to leave. But why? Not like I'll know, it's the last year of high school, I doubt I'll ever see them again.' After Clayton finished his thought process, he drifted off to sleep, when he woke, the first day of school had arrived. As Clayton walked down the stairs, ate his breakfast. On his way out his Mother yelled, "Remember to get straight A's!" Clayton opened the front door, then responded with, "Okay Mom!" People in this world are worth more depending on their Power, Clayton's family tend to have powerful powers. When Clayton arrived at the high school. "Look everyone! A new kid!" A voice somewhere in front of him yelled. A girl in skinny jeans and a crop top sweater walked through a small crowd of people. "I'm Hailee, What're your powers?" Clayton stared at Hailee, With what seemed to be annoyance. He looked around to find an open space, or atleast a spot he could squeeze through. When he found one, he walked around Hailee, and through the, now thick, crowd of people. Clayton walked down the halls until he found his locker. He then opened it, grabbed his schedule, books, and a map. He then found his way through the school to his class. "I was expecting something different. But you must be the new kid." Clayton was startled by this greeting. Where is she? "Ms. Harvard. That's my name, also, try looking right." Clayton looked over at the slim woman sitting on a fuzzy chair. Looking through the room, he saw many different faces, most looked odd, and unrecognizable. "So, introduce yourself." Harvard said. "Oh, right." Clayton looked at his new class, took a deep breath, then started. "My name is Clayton Korosu-" Clayton became overwhelmed with questions, so many that each was drowned out by another, the same questions kept repeating, but they mostly wanted to know his power. "Calm down people! Do not yell in my class! Clayton, go sit down!" Clayton looked around the room, and saw a girl making her pencil float. He saw an empty chair next to her, so he walked to it and sat down. Soon after the girl snapped out of her thoughts to greet Clayton. "Hi! My name's Emily Doku! Sorry, what was your name again?" The girl seemed cheery and happy, unlike everyone else in this class. "Don't apologize, but my name's Clayton. Clayton Korosu." Clayton held his hand out waiting for Emily to shake it. "Well nice to meet you Clayton!" Emily grabbed his hand and shook it. "Also, odd question, but can I call you Clay instead?" Clayton thought for a second, then agreed. Clay knew this was the start of a new friendship. When the class ended Emily offered to show Clay around the school, then hang out with her and her friends. "And we're done! Now, Ezra, Jalen, Autumn, and Sam, meet Clay!" Emily moved her hands into an arrow pointing straight at Clay. "Clayton.. My name is Clayton.." Emily seemed to have forgotten Clayton's full name already. "Right! Sorry. Everyone meet Clayton" They all stood silent for a minute or two. Then they said hello. After a little bit of getting to know each other, they all headed to class, they all had the same class, except Autumn, they had Art instead.. When they got there everyone was in a line, so the group joined them. "Today you have an obstacle course to get through, but you have to do it in teams. Use of your powers is recommended." Ms.Harvard started to give out teams, everything was fine until. "Emily, Ezra, Jalen, Sam, and Clayton.." Everyone in the group was horrified, except Clayton. "That's it! We're done for! Our team is going to, quite literally, die!" Clayton was quite confused with what made they're team so bad.. Well he didn't know they're powers, so maybe they really were the worst team.
