Mikes POV

I watched El be put into the cop car. I didn't know what to do, I stood there frozen. I had to leave as soon as possible. As much as I wanted to help El, I really had to leave. This wasn't my place to be right now and I'm sure El wouldn't have wanted me to help her anyways.

Once we got inside, I immediately went to Jonathan.

"Uhm when's the soonest time you can get me out of here?" I asked him, talking quickly.

Jonathan looked at me, still trying to process what happened, "I mean, I can try tonight at around 7 pm, you just gotta let your parents know Mike."

"I will, thank you, Jonathan," I told him and left to get my things that were still packed, considering I had just got there. I sighed loudly and just stared. Stared at nothing. I was a little sad for El, and that we broke up, but at the same time, I feel... relieved. Relieved that I can finally tell that girl from Hawkins that I like her.

After a few more hours, 6:30 P.M. rolled around, "Hey, Mike, it's time to go, you got your stuff?" Jonathan asked me.

"Yea, I have my stuff, I'm ready," I got up and gathered my things.

"Are you sure you want to leave right now Mike? You can wait a day to figure things out then if you still want to leave I'll take you." He offered, but no I had to leave before El came back.

"Thank you for the offer Jonathan, but I think I have to go now. I don't think El would want me here after what happened." I tell him, it was sort of awkward but he agreed. He called Argyle over so he could take us.

Thirty minutes passed and we had finally made it to the airport. They gave me my ticket and I went aboard the train that led me to the gates. I reached my gate and boarded.

I fell asleep the whole way back to Hawkins. My mom, dad, and Holly picked me up. I was surprised that Nancy wasn't here but I didn't mind it. They asked so many questions, but I answered none. I wasn't in the mood to respond to anything.

What I was ready for was to talk to miss Y/N Munson. Eddie might be a little pissy but I couldn't care less. She's beautiful. Ready or not Y/N, here I come.
