"Scarlett, I can't be in school today. I'm feeling a bit sick so I'm heading to the hospital now. Please inform my professors for me if you don't mind." Scarlett was reading Klairee's message for her.
"Hey gurl, how are you feeling exactly? Why need to go to the hospital?" She replied but she noticed that Klairee's active 5 minutes ago.
"Well then keep safe. I'll let your professors know." She replied.
Darren noticed that Klairee's car wasn't in the parking anymore so he pressumed she was in school already.
He looked into her class schedule and he found out she has only 2 single-period classes today and they're at 9am and 11am. But why did she leave too early.
Darren was a fresh graduate Political Science Professor. Reason why he has access to student's certificate of enrolment. He graduated in the same university where he is teaching now and where Klairee and Scarlett are studying. Klairee's a senior nursing student while Scarlett was on her final semester as an engineering student.
In a month from now, Klairee will start with her hospital duty so the only subjects left for her to take were 2 minor subjects which are logic and philosophy.
In the hospital, Klairee didn't expect that she will be admitted for a night. The doctor said that she's anemic and that she needs iv drip overnight to regain her health. She was busy lately and she could hardly get enough sleep.
"Hello, it's me Klairee."
"You're not in school today. Is something the matter?" Darren asked her.
"Uh." She replied.
"Where are you, are you at home?"
"I'm in the hospital."
"Klairee! What's wrong, are you okay?"
"Uh."
"I'll be right there."
He hurriedly left his desk in his office and headed to the hospital. He's too worried because she collapsed the other day and now she's in the hospital.
He ran to the information to asked for Kaliree's room.
"Which room is Klairee Knights? I'm her guardian."
"One minute sir, let me check. Room 2201 sir on the 2nd floor."
He quickly ran to the stairs going up to the 2nd floor. And rushed towards her door.
"Klairee. Are you okay?" He asked as he saw her lying in bed. She looked weak and pale.
She just nodded.
"What's wrong? Why didn't you call me. How did you come here, by yourself?"
She nodded.
"Klairee, didn't I tell you to call me whenever something's up?"
"Sorry, I wasn't planning on staying here. I just came for a checkup and ask for medicine as I'm not really feeling well these last few days."
"So, why are you here. Why do you need to stay?
"Doctor advised me to stay overnight for IV drip so that I could regain strength."
"You made me worried."
Klairee was feeling a little bit odd about how Darren acted towards her lately. They both suddenly became close as if they knew each other for a long time but actually, they were not introduced to each other formally.
"Why didn't you call me. Didn't I save my number on your phonebook already?"
"I thought I might disturb you. It's school time."
