Later that night, Margaux found herself wide awake, once again. She's been losing sleep.

"Rough night?"

She nodded. "Why don't you go more sleep and rest, sweetie. You can just come with me tomorrow"

"No, Mom, I'm okay and besides, I think this would help me fix my body clock. I'll tire myself then maybe, I'll be able to get a good night sleep later"

Her mom just laugh, ruffling her hair. "Just tell me if something's bothering you, hm?"

"Of course" she said under her breath.

Margaux decided to spend her time with her Mom and help her clean and decorate her classroom. She wanted a break from "troubles" for the mean time. Her worries are taking over her entire being, she's starting to feel anxiety creeping in and she thinks a break would somehow prevent it.

"So, what's your plan? For college?"

"I don't know, Mom. I was actually considering to take a gap year. Take a break from school" Margaux answered, not taking her eyes off the wall she is painting.

"Hmmm--your Uncle Billy mentioned that he offered you a job at the Rez. What do you think about it?"

Margaux leaned the paint roller against the wall, taking her gloves off and sat beside her mother.

"He did. He wanted me to teach the kids, tutor them. I asked him why, because I feel like he has a motive and I was right. He told me that he wanted me to feel welcome and part of them cause at the end of the day, I am still the daughter of Lucas Black and the granddaughter of Ephraim Black and that I have responsibilities. I told him that I'll think about it"

Margaux would love to teach the kids. She just doesn't like the whole idea of it being a responsibility of her just because she's the daughter and the granddaughter of somebody. She doesn't know if she's overreacting or what not, but she doesn't care. If they wanted her to feel welcome or part of them, she shouldn't be the one to do something in order for her to feel like she belong, right?

This is what she doesn't want, being a daughter of somebody who had a reputation. Having such responsibilities before you were even born. She would've been the Alpha then, but since she couldn't phase, they're offering her to teach kids instead.

"No matter what your decision is, sweetie. I'll be here for you, alright?"

"Done feeding?" Margaux asked Radleigh, who is sitting on her bed, comfortably. He just hummed, nodding his head.

"So, what's your plan for college?"

"I am planning to take a gap year. I don't know. I feel like I need more time to think things through. Do a bit of soul searching or Travel. My Uncle offered me a job and I accepted it. A tutor. Maybe I'll start with that and then I'll just go with the flow"

"That's a good idea" he nodded, "but I won't be able to visit or see you anytime I want"

"What do you mean?" She asked but then she realized what he meant. "Oh"

The two didn't say something after that, just sitting beside each other in silence. Both not knowing what to say. It's not awkward and it's not comfortable, either. There's a lot of things they want to say to each other, but they don't  know how to start. They are both terrified to express their feelings for each other. Scared that it might end before they could even start, thinking about the upcoming fight.

"Will you be okay?"

Radleigh couldn't answer right away. He doesn't know. "I don't know...."

Margaux just stared at him with furrowed eyebrows. It's not what she expected to hear from him. She expected for him, want him to say that he's gonna be okay. He's gonna come back, alive. A little assurance from him cause she desperately want to confess to him, say what she really wanted to say everytime they hang out, but at the same time, she feels that maybe what they have is enough, cause if something unfortunate did happened, it will hurt less.

"....but I promise. I'll come back and then...."

Radleigh held one of her hand, the other is on her cheek, gently wiping her tears away. He hates seeing her cry, hurt or sad because of him. He just loves her too much to cause her that. He'll do anything to stay by her side.

"....after all of this, I'll take you out. I won't make up any lame excuses this time. Believe me, I would. I'll come back to you cause...."

".....I love you so much to leave you now"
