CHAPTER: forty-two

"

This is ridiculous. That isn't fair for any of us" Margaux exclaimed. "Volturi, Aro can't just set a war against us. All because of a misunderstanding!"

"There won't be. We have proofs that Renesmee isn't what they thought, but it won't be easy" Carlisle explained.

"We need to gather witnesses" Radleigh suggested, caressing his girlfriend's arms.

"For what? To fight?" Asked Alice.

"There will be no fight. We don't have to go that far. We have to gather witnesses just to strengthen our claim. If more vampire knows the truth about Renesmee, the more Aro would believe us"

"Carlisle is right. Knowing Aro, he wouldn't believe it even after knowing the truth if it's just us. He's been waiting for this moment to happen. He wouldn't just let us all go"
said Radleigh.

The group just nodded in understanding and agreement. They wouldn't be able to do anything about it anyway. Their family is, again, in danger.

After the whole group meeting with the Cullens, Margaux immediately called her Mom to check up on her. She already thought of a plan to keep her Mother from knowing about the war that could, potentially, happen weeks from now and they need to move fast. Faster.

Shortly after both, Radleigh and Margaux got home, she told Radleigh to reserve plane tickets for a long Christmas vacation getaway for her Mom and her 'doctor friend'.

"Hello, sweetheart. How are you?" Margaux let out an inaudible sigh before closing her eyes. "I'm good, Mom. How about you?"

"Oh, sweetie. I am always good. Well, why did you call? Not that I don't want you too, but at 3? Do you need anything? Or you just missed me?" Margaux chuckled, "No it's not that, but I really do miss you, Mom"

"I miss you too, baby. But what is it really?"

Margaux took a deep breath, "I just sent an email to you, but Mom before you say anything or even look at it, I want you to promise me that you won't decline. It's a sort of a gift from Radleigh and I"

"Okay, but what for?"

"Forgiveness, I guess? A lot happened the past few years and um...we moved  back to Forks, I met people and then I just suddenly left you all alone. I'm sorry, Mom. I know that nothing had  changed between us, but just the mere thought of leaving you beh---all alone makes me so sad"

"Sweetie, don't be. I know that this would happen. It's part of our life and it's okay for me as long as your okay and happy where you are right now, doesn't matter if you're nearby or miles away from me. I will always be with you"

Margaux sniffed, "I know. So, please take the gift and use it to get to know MORE about your DOCTOR FRIEND. He's okay to me now and before you say anything, I know you like him, Mom and I'm sorry, again, for how I acted before, but it's okay to me now. I just want you to finally do something for you and your happiness"

"We're going to Switzerland tomorrow. Radleigh's friends might arrive tomorrow so expect atleast five or more" Margaux informed Jacob and Bella.

Bella and Jacob, with Renesmee decided to visit the Ford's household. It's been a while since the three had the time to hang out with each other and they totally missed it.

Bella nodded, "For how long?"

"Maybe two to three days. We need to meet up with someone that might help us a lot. Remember when I told you what happened to me back there? Well, someone helped us, gave us a bit information about my condition. We thought that maybe she had heard or knew about Renesmee's as well. We'll also be meeting with some of Radleigh's friends along the way"

"You guys are planning to be on foot?"

"It will save us time"

"I'm also convincing the pack to help us, but they'll just consider it if you go there and talk to them, Marg" said Jacob.

Margaux frowned, "What for? It's not like my opinion matters to them. Does it?"

"It actually does, Marg. A lot. The thing you pulled last time really put Sam on edge. Seth told me that the council talked about taking him out as the Alpha"

"They can't do that"

"They can and they will"

"He worked hard for it and is actually doing alright, why would they do that to him?"

"It's not exactly in his blood to be. In short, He's not supposed to be one in the first place"

"And they think I could? Sam did a lot for it"

"And you could do a lot more, Marg. It's in you. You're naturally one, not an artificial"

"Okay, now that's just rude" Bella butted in, Margaux nodded. 

Jacob rolled his eyes, "Guess what? Truth hurts"

The three let out a small laugh, "Okay, I'll go to them before Radleigh and I go"

"No, Marg. You need to rest and hu---"

"Shh...we need them to make sure that we'll actually pull this off and to also keep your daughter safe. If they want to talk then we'll talk" Margaux then looked towards Jacob "That's it, but I am doing this because I want their cooperation for the 'war' not because I want Sam's position" she added.

Jacob once again rolled his eyes, "okay"
