Victoria had been sitting on a couch in the living room with her legs on Hayley's lap when Nik had come back, this time with a witch bitch named Sophie Deveraux.
Nik threw her onto the couch and angrily pointed at her. "We had a deal! You protect my unborn child, I dismantle Marcel's army. And whilst I've been busy fulfilling my part of the bargain, you allowed Victoria to be attacked and almost killed by a gaggle of lunatic witches."
Sophie glanced at the pregnant werewolf who gave her a fake smile then flipped her off with both hands. "I had nothing to do with it, I swear. Victoria and I are linked, remember? She dies, I die."
"And remember, I do not want to die. I'm too hot for that" Victoria added before they all gave her a look, "Right...and the baby." She looked away from the three.
Hayley sighed at her friend and changed the subject. "Then who were they?"
"They are a faction of extremists. Sabine stupidly told them about some vision she had about the baby." Sophie told them.
Nik looked at the witch, confused. "What kind of vision?"
Sophie shrugged carelessly, "She has them all the time. They are totally open to interpretation. I'm guessing she's wrong on this one."
Nik pursed his lips and tilted his head to the side. "Well, how, may I ask, was this particular vision interpreted?"
Sophie nodded in thought, "Pretty much that your baby would bring death to all witches."
Nik raised his eyebrows and smirked, "Ah, well. I grow fonder of this child by the second."
Victoria put a hand on Sophie's shoulder. "I'm so sorry, Serena–"
"Sophie–"
"That's what I said. Anyways, I'm sorry that the baby will kill people. If it's any consolation...I hope she kills you first." Victoria ended with a comforting smile, causing the witch to glare at her. Sophie knew she couldn't do anything to her because of the link as well as the Mikaelsons with Hayley ready to protect her.
The Mikaelson siblings and Hayley stifled their chuckles before Rebekah spoke. "Sophie, look, I promised Elijah that I would protect the Mikaelson miracle baby whilst he tries to win your witch Davina's loyalty. Why don't you tell me just how extreme this faction is?"
"Elijah's talking to Davina? Sophie asked.
Rebekah nodded, "Yeah. As we speak, I imagine."
"I'm guessing she'll have plenty to say about that crowd."
"Do tell." Nik said, sounding like a teenage girl. You would think that would be Victoria's job, considering that she is one...
Sophie sighed, "I... wasn't always an advocate for the witches."
"My sister was devoted, like our parents, and our upbringing was very strict, which drove me nuts. The minute I turned 21, I left the Quarter to travel... and play." Sophie started.
"Ooh, cool. Sophie got laid." Victoria said, before quieting from their looks. Hayley chuckled.
Sophie continued explaining her life up until now and mentioned something called a harvest. "What the bloody hell is a Harvest?" Rebekah asked.
"It's a ritual our coven does every three centuries, so that the bond to our ancestral magic is restored. We appease our ancestors, they keep our ancestral power flowing."
"And why haven't I heard of this?" Nik asked.
"Well, believe it or not, Nikky, not everything surrounds you." Victoria told him. He rolled his eyes at her.
