Chapter 8: wednesday

On Wednesday I woke up at around 6 am because I had to go to the bathroom. I walked into mine and Justin's connected bathroom. When I walked in a rush of hot steam hit me, causing me to shudder at the sudden warmth. After a minute of wondering why it was so hot in here I heard the shower. Well the only person that could be in here is Justin so I tried to stay quiet as I went to the bathroom. While I was getting ready to go back to bed I heard him start singing be alright. That's our song. I smiled to myself as I slowly shut the door behind me going back to bed.

When I opened my eyes up again for the second time that day the sun was shining brightly into my room. I looked over at the clock alongside my bed which read 9:30. I got up and walked through the bathroom to Justin's room. When I walked into his room I found that his bed was made (surprisingly enough) and there was a note on one of his dozens of pillows, what is it with him and leaving notes? I picked up the note that had my name written in Justin's handwriting. The inside read: "hey boo sorry I'm not here, I'm rehearsing for my next concert which is tomorrow night. I have a surprise for you later! Well I should be home by 7 tonight, or earlier if I can. Sorry I'm going to be gone all day but I really want this concert to be extra perfect. I left some money on the counter and the number of my driver. Go buy your dream outfit ok? Ok well love you. Call me if you need anything.

After re-reading the note a few more times and wondering what his surprise was I decided I might as well give up thinking and go shopping. I grabbed my phone and dialed my dads number as I walked up stairs to get some food.

"Hello?" My dad answered

"Hi dad! How's it going?"

"Oh hey. It's pretty good actually. Did Justin tell you what he bought us?" My dad questioned

"Umm no I didn't know he bought us anything"

"He bought us a house! It's amazing. It's like a mansion."

"Woah. Wow he must really like our family" I laughed

"Yeah I'm pretty sure it's you he really likes." My dad teased

"Yeahh" I sighed "I really like him to"

"Well obviously" my dad said back

"So Morgan, what are you guys up to today?"

"Umm well Justin is rehearsing today for a concert tomorrow night and I'm going shopping today" I said

"Oh! Sounds like you're enjoying your stay there?" My dad said

"Yeah it's amazing. Dad, I recorded a song with Justin. I freaking recorded a song with my idol and he's putting it on his next album." I said overly excitedly to my dad

"You guys sang be alright together right?"

"Yeah. By the way thanks for telling him that was my favorite song" I said

"Umm I didnt?" My dad replied sounding actually confused.

"How did Justin know that was my favorite song then?also how did you know that was what we sang together?"

"He obviously knows you better than you think hun. And he asked me and your mom for permission to put you on his next album and he told us what song he wanted to sing with you. Well I gotta get back to work. Call me later this week tell me how it's going ok?" My dad said

"Yeah...sure thing dad. Love you bye" I said still thinking about what else Justin knows about me.

"Bye" said my dad before I heard the click of the phone signaling he had hung up. I dialed the number on the post it note on the counter and within 15 minutes Justin's driver was knocking on the door. I grabbed the money Justin left, my purse and phone and headed out the door to go shopping. I didn't know where to go for my 'dream outfit' so I told the driver to go where he knows is a good place for clothes. We pulled up at a store I'd never heard of and Im not even going to try to pronounce the name of. The driver, who's name I found out was drew (the same guy who opened the limo door for me when I met justin) said that he'll be right there when I was done. I thanked him and walked into the store. I found a pair of white skinny jeans, something I've always wanted and grabbed my size off the shelf before looking for a shirt that I loved. I couldn't decide between a plain gray shirt with long sleeves and a neon pink feather on one half of it and a cyan colored translucent short sleeve shirt that buttoned down to the belly button and then tied, with the back hanging down just past my bottom, with a white tank underneath. I grabbed them both and tried them on with the white pants. I don't know what it was about the cyan shirt but it just seemed more me then the gray one. So I put the feather shirt back and while holding on the the white pants, tank and translucent button shirt I went on a hunt for shoes. I found converse that were the exact same color of the shirt I had picked out, like they couldn't be more similar in color. They were perfect. On my way to check out I grabbed a rusty colored metal feather necklace, hey What can I say? I like feathers. When I was done checking out I went back to find drew and go home. When I walked out of the store I didn't see Drew's car anywhere. I hit redial in my phone being as drew was the last person I called and he didn't pick up. I called justin and his phone went straight to voice mail, it didn't ring once. Now I was getting worried. I had no idea where in California I was or how to get back to Justin's house and I didn't know anyone else in California who I could call. I checked the time to see it was 1:30, my stomach made a little rumbling noise and I realized how hungry I was. I walked across the street to a panera bread restaurant I saw. I sat at a table in the back by a window, quietly eating my sandwich. I can't believe drew wasn't there anymore. He better have a good reason for ditching me like this, I wasn't even in the store for that long it was only like 45 minutes, that's really fast for a girl. Especially me. I finished my lunch and pulling my knees up to rest my chin on and wrap my arms around, I gazed out the window at the busy street in front I me.
