Both of their jaws drop in shock "what changed?" Matilda asks. I shrug "uh I'm not sure, we were having something to eat and he pulled my chair closer and we had a moment" I tell them a half truth.
"A moment?" Rose asks. "Did you kiss??" Matilda asks. "No we didn't but we were close to" I answer. "So what happened after?" Rose asks. "Uh he asked if I would like to go get dinner with him before he goes to New York for promoting and I agreed" I answer.
They ask me a ton of questions and i try my best to come up with a story that I'll definitely have to brief jack on before Thursday. "Just be careful abs" rose says. I nod "I will I know jack won't intentionally hurt me" i reply.
My phone buzzes in my hand and I take a glance.
Jack: home
Jack: can I pick you up tomorrow instead of you driving to the studio?
I look over at them and they're back to watching tv and I type out a reply, thinking everything through before sending it.
To jack: yeah as long as you bring me a coffee
My mind goes to food so I stand up going into the kitchen looking through the fridge and cupboards. "How do we have nothing?" I ask turning to them. "Dunno maybe just order a pizza" rose replies popping a chip into her mouth.
I lean against the counter and go onto my phone.
Jack: nothing but the best for you
"Why are you blushing?" Matilda asks looking over at me. "What? I am not" I reply touching my face. "Yes you are! What did he say?" She asks. "Promised to bring me coffee when he picks me up in the morning" I answer.
They both look at each other before looking at me "that's cute" rose smiles. "He wouldn't tell me what we're doing but it should be fun" I shrug. "Really? That means he has thought it through" matilda says. "Seriously? Oh God, what am I gonna wear?" I ask somewhat nervous.
After a slight panic I calm myself down and order us some pizza. While we're waiting I sit on the kitchen counter texting Jack back and then going on Twitter.
To jack: you're the best
The pizza comes and the three of us hangout watching their tv show while I aimlessly scroll through instagram and twitter. Someone spotted us outside the studio and posted the photos on Instagram. Theres only so much time until they're circulating the internet.
"Have you seen what people have been saying?" Rose asks. "Yup" I say simply. "And? Aren't you weirded out?" Matilda asks. "Oh definitely" I answer. "But they're saying you're cute" rose says. "We're just going on a date and seeing how it goes from there" I reply.
Rose raises her eyebrows "and where do you want to go from there?" She asks. I shrug "I don't know I just don't want it to be weird if it doesn't work out" I answer shrugging.
The rest of the night goes by and the conversation goes to rose and Mackenzie, he's on a trip visiting family so she is missing him a lot and matilda is tragically single but I think she's talking to someone.
My head hits my pillow around midnight and my phone lights up almost blinding me. A couple texts from jack and a few from my sister.
Jack: nah you are
Jack: see you in the morning
Jack: ill be there at 11 :)
Kennedy: am I reading these tweets and Instagram posts correctly?
Kennedy: JACK HARLOW??
Kennedy: YOU'RE WORKING WITH JACK HARLOW
Kennedy: you know you're my favourite sibling right?
