The other night was a horrible day and Damon had disappeared into thin air with Enzo. Not that she really cared about him, but she cared about mankind and with the position Damon was in right now it was best to find him rather than leave him alone. So, here she was knocking on the door of the Salvatore House with a file in her hand helping Stefan track down Damon.

"You were right. He's off the rails and this is from Caroline. It's all Liz could find." Lia told Stefan as she walked into the Salvatore Boarding House passing Stefan the file in her hand.

"Let me guess: missing persons and animal attacks?" Stefan asked hitting the bullseye in guessing.

"Check and check." She answered turning around to face him stopping right there. "But there's something else. All of the victims were found inside their homes without their head...and their skin was desiccated."

"Damon's feeding on vampires." Stefan realized still confused about the new information. He moved toward the couch while going through the file. "I shouldn't have let him go."

"No. Uh-uh. No. You are not turning Damon's roosting chickens into a Stefan Salvatore guilt trip." Lia said her voice slightly raised as she pointed at Stefan. "No one could have stopped him from going after Wes the other night."

"I guess Wes must have injected him with whatever he was going to give Elena that makes vampires feed on vampires," Stefan said trying to conclude.

"Ah. Good news, bad news. Bad news is that when this happened to Jesse, we had to kill him, but the good news is-- I'm sorry. Usually, there's some good news." Lia said after thinking for a moment.

"I have to find him," Stefan said taking in the newly found conclusion.

"Well...I could come with you." Lia's head whipped to the source of the voice as she noticed Elena standing there.

"Elena, hey! I didn't know that you were here." Lia said now in a slightly sweeter voice.

"Well, Stefan has been helping me study."

"Oh. Stefan who doesn't go to college."

"Stefan, who's an expert in history."

"Uh-huh," Lia said as her phone started to ring. The caller-id flashed TYLER. "That's a new one." She said surprised on receiving a call from him as Stefan's brows furrowed in confusion. "It's Tyler. Wonder why he's calling me." She said as she received the call. "This must be a really serious conversation if you're calling me because you very well know I'm not interested in wasting my time by talking to you."

"Hello to you too. Have you talked to Matt?" His voice asked as Lia finished speaking.

"No. Why?"

"Because it turns out that Nadia has been compelling him to forget things. Matt said he was going to avoid her, but I haven't heard from him."

"Do you think that he's in trouble?"

"I think he hasn't been at home or work and his phone goes straight to voicemail."

"Alright, I'll get Caroline."

"No, wait--"

"Goodbye!" She interrupted him as she hung up the call.

"Maybe I should come with you?" Elena suddenly suggested.

"No, you deal with the Damon drama. I can deal with whatever the hell this is."

"Okay. I'm going to stay out of that one. I'm going to get some clothes and you'll pick me up at my dorm?" Elena said as she pointed at Stefan who just agreed with her before she left the house and Stefan stood up.
