A 5 foot 9 inches tall brunette walked towards her dorm room with a huge bag on her back. She was nervous for her first day back at college, but excited to meet her old friends and make new ones too. The blonde and brunette girls present in the room immediately turned towards her as they saw her enter.

"Sorry, wrong dorm." The blonde said in a harsh tone. The brunette was confused at her harsh tone but decided to ignore it.

"Elena Gilbert and Caroline Forbes?" The brunette asked pointing at the girls.

"Yeah?" The other brunette replied nodding her head. The brunette standing at the door instantly smiled at her reply before entering the dorm.

"Then it's the right dorm." She replied. A confused look approached both the girls' faces. "Oh! I'm sorry, I'm Lia, your new roommate." A frown appeared on both the girls' faces as they heard the word 'roommate'. She really wanted to socialize and make new friends, but judging by the looks on both of their faces, she realized they weren't in the mood of making new friends right now. Little did they know that just like them, the sophomore also had a secret, similar to theirs that she had been keeping for years.

Lia walked up to a boy sitting on one of the benches in the classroom.

"Hey, Jess! What's up?" She asked getting in and sitting next to him. That's Jesse, her only friend in the college and her best friend. When they were both freshmen some idiot played a prank on her and Jesse helped her. They've been friends ever since.

"All good," He replied with a bright smile on his face.

"Ok! Who is the lucky girl?" She asked addressing the huge smile on his face. Apparently, Jesse was still single, recovering from his bummer past, that his girlfriend slept with some jerk and cheated on him. She wanted him to move on, live his life, but everytime he told her that he was still looking for the perfect one.

"No one." He replied with furrowed brows. His eyes suddenly went to a figure entering the classroom. She followed his line of vision which landed on Caroline. Realization hit the girl.

"Oooo! Caroline?" She asked with a smirk on her face. As far as she knew them, Caroline was a good choice for him after his jerk of an ex-girlfriend.

"How do you know her?" He asked confused.

"She's my roommate, Duh!" She replied rolling her eyes.

"Hey, blow-off girl," Jesse said looking at Caroline who walked past their seat. "Aren't you a freshman? How are you in this class?" That was a good question. Like, aren't freshmen supposed to be in Bio 101??

"What? Um, heh, I love... 'Applied Microbiology'" Caroline replied hesitantly looking at the board. "It's, like, my favorite biology. You know, little things are just so cute."

"Are you going to the bonfire tonight?" Lia intervened.

"Or are you just gonna get really close and then turn around again?" Jesse asked interested. Hmm...guess he finally found the perfect one.

"Heh. She'll be there." Elena replied looking at Jesse. Elena's sentence proved that Lia wasn't the only one forcing their friend to date someone.

"Sweet. We'll hang." He replied with a sweet smile. Lia looked at him with narrowed eyes as both the freshmen girls walked past them. His brows furrowed in confusion at her reaction.
