CHAPTER FOURTEEN

ᴡᴇᴇᴋ ᴇɪɢʜᴛᴇᴇɴ

YET ANOTHER WEEK, AND YET ANOTHER VISIT TO RAENA.

[name] proudly sauntered into the blinding white building, checking in for her appointment and sitting down soundly on the comforts of the couch.

the weeks flew by more and more and she was even closer to meeting her babies. whats more is that katsuki is here to find out the gender with her! the blonde looked lost. constantly moving and constantly fidgeting to calm down.

however, it feels as though [name] weighed less than she previously used to be. over the past weeks she felt like a weight had disappeared from her, though she still felt like she was carrying a boulder in her belly it felt like the boulder grew smaller.

its worrying [name] but she tries not to dwell so much.

she has triplets feeling her every emotion, wouldn't her babies to stress out like her!

once her name was called, katsuki stood up in alarm. [name] snorted at him and led the way to the room. once there, she had to kick katsuki out to change into her patient gown but she let him back in after she was finished.

raena soon entered the room after without the nurses accompanying her like before.

assuming the ultrasound was already set up - [name] laid down to rest on the bed and answered simple questions raena asked of her.

now the moment came. raena washed her hands and equipped her gloves onto her hands, though she was adamant to place the gel on [name]'s belly herself due to the presence of katsuki. offering the blonde to do it instead, he gladly did so with shake hands and almost spilt too much gel on her belly before raena had to take over and wipe the excess gel off.

placing the scanner onto her belly, she searched around like before to locate the babies.

and once she did she noticed something was wrong "thats odd.. I can't seem to find the third child." this spiked the couples attention and almost instantly did [name] try to sit up to get a closer look at the screen.

"what?!" anxiety poured into her and fear came soon after when she saw the loss of her third child.

raena narrowed her eyes at the scan and took the stick away to avoid [name] from anymore stress.

"I suspected this before but I thought I was only imagining it since the three all looked fine, but, theres a chance one of the two twins absorbed the third twin."

katsuki held his wifes hand gingerly, watching her expression go downcast and horror took place where the fear once resided. "how could that happen? if you said the three were all good then surely this wouldn't have happened?"

"I thought so too but unless something happened that caused the third twin to miscarry then all I can do now is express my condolences' ma'am"

katsuki took a glance towards [name] and helped her off the bed.

"can we reschedule this at another time? I think my wife needs some time to think about this..."

raena nodded, walking out the room to give you two space and closing the door tight on her way out.

katsuki knelt beside her sitting form and held her hands. her expression remained the same, downcast and horrified.

"[nickname]? do you want to go home? should I get you some [favorite food] on the way?" after a bit of silence, she nodded. too tired and heartbroken to speak or utter a word. katsuki gave her a kiss on the cheek and helped her change into her clothes.

helping her into the car, as he drove home he stopped by to get her some ice cream and [favorite food].

at home; [name] didn't utter a word. choosing to stay in bed and mope the whole entirety of the day - leaving katsuki worried for her as her ice cream and food had gone cold or melted.

he placed the food into the fridge for her to eat later and took hesitant steps up to their room.

expecting her to be in bed sound asleep, he instead found her sitting by the table near the window. a thick suffocating mist seeping out her poor's while her eyes were drowning in tears.

she spoke in her native language, probably words of apologies or regret while she rubbed the bump tenderly.

katsuki took in the sight of his wife.

weeping in the mist, surrounded in her sorrow while holding her creations close to her.

his heart ached for her and he didn't hesitate to enter the suffocating mist and gave her a hug, knelt by her side - he held her close in his arms.

offering to her his comfort.

the two stayed there, together.

as the mist dissipated into nothing.

but the pain lingered, and [name] still mourns in his arms for the rest of the night.

IM SORRY ITS SO BORING. I KNOW ITS MOVING ON TOO SLOW AND IM TRYING TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS CUZ I RLLY WANNA WRITE ABT THE KIDS, expect the weeks to flow by from week 18 to week 20 something lmfao, i thought of this lil angst idea for a while now, after I planned for the reader to have twins. im sorry for the pain but i thought the book needed s p i c e. i did not plan for the ending tho, all i thought was "triplets, one dies and two are left"
