CHAPTER TWENTY

ᴡᴇᴇᴋ ᴛʜɪʀᴛʏ

FINALLY, THE CEREMONY HAD BEGUN.

it looked like there was a seat for almost everyone who came to the festival and if there wasn't - sidekicks with creation quirks and duplication quirks made more chairs for the civilians who were standing.

you sat at the seats in a booth - way above the crowd below. you had a good view of the whole ceremony as well as a view of your husband in his hero costume.

he waved to you by the stage and you returned the wave.

sat beside you were many other pros, one being mina and todoroki as the latter didn't want to partake in the awarding ceremony and the former simply didn't get an award.

in todoroki's lap was his daughter. you assumed his son was at home being babysat - the infant was still a few months old afterall so this much noise would be too much for his poor little baby ears.

"Hello and welcome to the Heroes Awarding Ceremony- er, couldn't they have thought of a flashier name?" the crowd snickered as the mic picked up izuku's voice. he bushed and apologized to the crowd.

todoroki snorted at his husband while his daughter cackled while pointing at her father.

you and mina shared laughs, in secret.

'Ahem, uh- anyways! welcome everyone, thank you all for coming to join us today to honor these brave heroes who have contributed to making the world a better place. As a hero myself, I am proud to award you all with medals of honor and I thank you, not just as the number one hero but as a friend"

the number one pro had a warm smile on his face, his hand outstretched to the heroes who stood behind him. all of which were longtime friends and classmates of his.

"May the world be at peace, just like our predecessor once said -"

the crowd took a sharp intake of breath.

"FEAR NOT, FOR I AM HERE!"

the crowd cheered and fireworks were set off. the awarding had begun - each awardee walking to the front of the stage to be given medals by izuku. the medals were gold and had the face fo the previous symbol of peace embedded into the golden medals.

the heroes on stage cried at the face of their former teacher and role model. even you felt like you could cry yourself.

once katsuki had gotten his medal and the heroes had all bowed one last time to the crowd before walking off stage. you felt your stomach contract again - you took a sharp intake of breath at the sudden pain.

then, liquids gushed down your thighs which did not god unnoticed by mina who screamed in horror.

"Shit- SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE, [NAME]'S GOING INTO LABOR!" her sudden shout caused the heroes around to be alert and many retired heroes who came as guests rushed to your side. from below the booth, katsuki could hear the frantic shouts of his peers and he grew worried. he knew you were up there and he was worried on what was happening to have so much people running around in a frenzy.

he sprinted up the stairs leading to the booth and was mortified to find you on your knees with liquid gushing out of you, you were screaming, crying ad breathing rapidly.

you weren't due yet though, you still had 7 more months for god sake!

he rushed to your side. holding your hand in his while he rocked you back and forth. "k- katsuki! aghh!!!" you were a sobbing mess, goddamn. THESE BITCHES HURT

"shh, shh its okay- fuck, uh.. its gonna be okay baby. i'm here don't worry" the elderly women in front of you instructed you to take deep breaths, slowly with a pause inbetween each inhale.

you did as told, heart hammering in your chest as the pain grew worse.

soon enough an ambulance arrived and did its best to escort you inside the vehicle without the attention from the public. katsuki entered the ambulance, holding your hand while the paramedics did their best to guide you through the pain.

when you arrived to the hospital, you had to be forcefully detached from katsuki and placed into a the operating room. katsuki was dressed in the same outfits as the doctors, watching all of the nurse run around to prepare for the last minute surgery.

he knew the dangers of premature birth and all he could offer was his comfort for now.

once the operation was set, the doctors instructed you to push. katsuki appeared beside you and let you crush his hand in your tight grip. albeit he screamed in pain louder than you did.

"push!"

"AGHHH- GODDAMN YOU KATSUKI, GUH- YOU DID THIS TO ME!"

"push!"

"AHHH *sobbing* I AM NEVER LETTING YOU GET ME PREGNANT EVER AGAI- AGHHHHHHHH"

"push!"

"AGHH, YOU BETTER TAKE RESPONSIBILITY YOU PRICK AGHHHHHHHHHHH-"

"congratulations mister and misses bakugou! you gave birth to two, healthy, twin boys!"
