CHAPTER FIFTEEN

ᴡᴇᴇᴋ ᴛᴡᴇɴᴛʏ-ꜰᴏᴜʀ

AFTER FIVE OR SO WEEKS OF MOPING. [NAME] FINALLY GATHERED ENOUGH COURAGE TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT.

afterall, she still has yet to find out what her future childrens genders are.

and though she lost one, she still has two! though i'm not sure how thats any better than losing a child. [name] walked through the hospital like she had always done on these appointments, she greeted the familiar face of the receptionist - the elder woman giving her a solemn smile - and taking a seat in the same spot that she had met mikasa on.

not long after a nurse came and guided her to a room where she would get her ultrasound in.

having memorized the layout from the first time she came, she immediately knew where the nurse was taking her as it was the same room every time.

she did as the nurse instructed of her, answered questions the nurse asked and changed once the nurse left to fetch raena.

once raena entered, the poor doctor was at a loss for how to interact with the pregnant woman. afterall, she had no idea how fragile her emotions must have been during the five weeks she was gone.

each step she took, there was a lingering cautiousness to it that [name], being a retired hero and having experienced many different forms of villains and observed each civilians mannerisms when being interviewed. [name] had very good eyes and observed people well.

raena took a seat in the same chair like before while [name] was all ready and laid out on the bed.

"hello ms.bakugou" keeping up her professionalism, raena was stiff when she talked. a total contrast to her usual carefree and bubbly personality.

"its uh- nice to see you.. again." clearing her throat, she pretended to look at the papers on her clipboard and acted like she was reading them, even though she read every single detail before she came here.

[name] sighed, she didn't want to be treated differently because of what happened. sure what happened was truly a heart-wrenching accident and shes still in the stages of acceptance of the fact, but she'd rather be treated the same rather than be constantly reminded of what happened by the way people act around her.

"you can rest easy raena, i'll be okay so just work like how you usually do."

raena was still unsure and even if [name] told her to act like she usually does thats usually really hard to do. but, she works in a hospital and shes bound to get patients who are either total asses or are just experiencing heavy things.

accepting for now, raena did what she usually did. she asked questions regarding her health and poked fun at a few things.

she had to use her quirk here and there at the request of [name] but the whole appointment was good.

then it came to the part she set the appointment for, the ultrasound.

like before; raena stood to wash her hands by the sink, slipped on a pair of rubber gloves and pulled out the same gel-like substance out from her pocket.

"you already know what this is like right?" [name] gave a nod. prepared for the cold chill she was about to get the moment the gel was placed on her belly.

she just wish katsuki was here to help, she rather hated the gel but him putting it on her that one time made her feel really happy.

once the gel was placed onto her. [name] shivered, despite this being her fourth appointment she still has yet to get used to that feeling, feeling around her belly once again - raena had better luck finding the two now that a few months had gone by.

it was still a heartwarming sight to see the babies though.

a smile bloomed onto [name] face watching her unborn children move around in her womb.

though the emptiness of loss still ate at her mind, she atleast had to be happy about her two kids. raena took a good look at the babies and gave a smile.

"congrats ms.bakugou, you have two sons!"

[name] gasped. that same feeling of happiness from when she realized she was pregnant - surfaced back and made her all warm and fuzzy.

it may have been her hormones influencing her or just the overall happiness she felt, but she was extremely happy. though, it would have been nice to have a daughter-

katsuki very much wanted a daughter afterall, so he could name her after [name].

maybe they could have one, next time.

the thought made her heat up. [name] slapped her cheeks to calm the flames that erupted on her face and erased the thought from her mind. 'you shouldn't be thinking that way when you just found out about your kids! bad [name]!'

embarrassed and flustered, [name] sat up from the bed with raenas help. thanking her for the appointment before going home with the fresh set of photos she had raena print for her to take home.

she held the printed photos close to her, hugging them tight.

ngl this story is making me bored. i just wanted to write abt raising kids ;-;
ima post five new chaps bcuz im not waiting till chapter 20 to post all this shit. just a few more chaps till act 2 btw:))
