I covered my ears with my hands once the gunshots started going, wujin noticed my discomfort and placed his hands over mine to help muffle the sound more.
"Are they gonna kill all the zombies before they take us?" Dae-su questions
"I don't think so, there's only four of them." Joon-yeong answers him
"But they're special mission, right?" Dae-su asks
"Are they looking for something?" I speak up making a few turn to me "i think they're in the science lab"
"What would they want?" On-jo looks at me
"The science teacher.. this all started with.." i was cut off
"Hyeon-ju!" On-jo shouts
The soldiers returner to the roof and started getting a harness ready. The chopper flys closer to the roof where we're all standing now. A solider goes up to the chopper first then another turns to us.
"Well pull you up one at a time. Stay still even if your scared. Okay?" The man says
"You're not landing the chopper?" Ji-min asks
"We can't. It can get unstable. He's gonna pull you up, so don't worry." He says "you can't go all at once, so let's go one by one."
"We can't all go?" Cheong-san asks
"We can take all of you, but it has to be one by one" the soldier answers
"Ji-min you go first." On-jo grabs her and pushes her to the soldiers
The soldiers start to hook her up to the harness and she slowly starts making her way up to the chopper. Until shes halfway and she starts slowly coming back down. We all start to get worried
"Cancel the operation, well take just the package and pull out" the soldier yells
"They're not taking us.." I said on the verge of tears and grip onto wujin
"Huh? What do you mean?" He looks into my eyes and puts his arms around me
"He said they're just taking the p.. package" I hold back tears
The soldiers take ji-min out of the harness once she reaches the roof and pushes her back into us. Everyone is confused and scared.
"Please! Take me with you! Im not going back! Get me out of here!" Ji-min shouts and starts walking toward the soldiers but the point their guns at us and she stops in her place.
"Wait.. wait a second, whats wrong with you? Were fine!" Joon-yeong pleads
"Stand back!" The guy yells point his gun between all of us
Cheong-san grabs on-jos hand and walks closer to the guy.. "Wait a minute. You can't even take a few of us with you?"
The soldier points his gun in the air and shoots. Scaring all of us. We all take a few steps back and yell. Wujin grabs me and puts me behind him protectively. He then stops shooting we all look at them with teary eyes. I step out from behind wujin and make my way to the front.
"Rescue us.. please" i plead but the soldier just walks backwards toward the rope to the chopper
"Were just kids! Take us with you!" I yelled at him , wujin and dae-su grab my arms and pull me back incase the soldier shoots me
The man stops at the rope, eyes locked on all of us until he meets my eyes. I stare back at him and can see the sadness and guilt in them.
"I'm sorry." The guy says before the hooks himself to the rope and begins to rise up. Leaving us alone on the roof.. again.
