Life changes

Alright so I am desperately trying to catch up to the finale. Because I predicted it.

So Luz stays in a coma for about two weeks and then is really sad and blames herself. Despite her friends love, she hides her feelings from everyone and often secludes herself to her thoughts and emotions. She is not ok. However, things become even more complicated. They arrive at Luz's home and Eda goes back to the portal.

Camila had taken the kids out to dinner at El Chico's and there she ordered a helping of nachos for the table. Gus and Hunter ordered chicken quesadillas and Gus picked all the chicken off of his, making everyone wonder why he even got it to begin with. Amity ordered a salad and Willow ordered a veggie burrito with keto sauce. Luz ate a small burrito and Camila had a large burrito. After dinner, the gang debated dessert. Everyone went to the restroom except for Hunter who took a nap. A thought hit Camila and she looked at her daughter. There was one important thing that she needed to tell her, actually make that two important things. "Luz, can we talk for a second while your friends are gone. I think your other friend here is asleep. I just really need to talk to you." Luz looked up and said "Sí Mama." Camila took her daughter's hands. "I know you have a lot going on so I'll make this quick." "I'm gonna be taking more hours at the hospital." Luz looked a little concerned. "I think it would be good if I worked a little more so that way we could get you a fancy car for when you are driving." "Our BMW is getting old and it barely fits all your friends here." Luz smiled "Yeah it was a little cramped back there for them." Camila became more serious, but Camila knew she had to blurt it out. "I'm also seeing someone."

Luz looked at her in calm but disturbing rage. "You're what?" Camila sighed "I just really needed to get back out there." "Keep in mind it's been a while since your father's death." Luz wanted to cry "But what about Papa?" Camila had a few tears. "I will always share your father's memories and about the joys of being a father." "We will still celebrate him with any flowers." Luz was still unhappy. "But I always want to remember dad." "We will" "It's just that after looking at the inspirational quote of you only live once, I realized that I was living in a bubble all this time and that we could still be happy as a family again." Luz said with tears in her eyes. "A new family." "What if we still forget Papa?" "Mom I don't like this." "Well it still is early in the relationship, but there is something else that I need to tell you." Luz waited to speak and waited for her mother to finish. "I'm pregnant again." Luz spat out her drink and awoke Hunter. He looked at Luz in digust. Luz didn't care she was having a panic attack. She had always wanted a sibling but she didn't want the memories of her father to fade. She asked her mother if she was joking. She had seen the trend of mothers playing pranks on their kids telling them that they were pregnant. Camila rocked her head. "I'm 10 weeks pregnant." Hunter looked at Camila "You're pregnant?!" "Belos told me that mothers get pregnant in the human realm." Camila was confused and asked the both of them to explain who Belos was. Hunter laughed really hard and Luz said that he was an evil man back where she came from.

Camila said that she planned on keeping the baby because she knew that Luz had always wanted a sibling. In fact, for her tenth birthday she wished for a little brother. Camila thought that a good first step to caring about what her daughter wants and really needs is by starting from long ago and fulfilling what Luz has always wanted. A new friend straight from her belly. Luz had no choice. She didn't like it, but she didn't hate it. Maybe the man (or woman) that she was seeing would be nice and they would grow on Luz. It didn't have to be bad. It could be a great change. Camila told her that she would not rush her to meet her mother's new boyfriend and most likely stepfather but that she was so happy that she was able to talk to her about it all.

When Luz went to bed, she tried to imagine happy times with her sibling. It still felt that she was being tossed aside, but maybe her mother would be able to still listen and spend time with her. She felt so childish and she wanted to tell her mother that she doesn't think the idea is growing on her. She did make this baby while she was gone after all. But, inside, she wanted a sibling too. She wanted to have someone to be able to talk to. A friend that could be here forever and not in some other dimension.
