Never Too Late

Chapter 5

It's been almost a month since Edward's punishment, Renesmee has gotten closer to Jane and Jane treats her as if she is her child. Renesmee is almost as tall as Jane, growing rapidly still but it has shown to slow down a little. I've noticed that Renesmee doesn't seem to miss her father, I knew he treated her like he treated me. I did my best to stop it, but his family said it was him being her father and my husband. That the woman had no say in anything, especially a woman who is barely a part of the family, that's what we were to them, barely family.

I wished I left when I had the chance, but I wouldn't have Renesmee with me if I did. I'm just happy to be able to get out now, I have Renesmee and now Jane. Carlisle and Esme had tried arguing about Edward's Punishment, but the kings could care less. I had overheard the Kings talking about stepping down with their queens and leaving someone in control, someone they trusted. Marcus had brought Jane and me up, but I didn't get to hear the rest. I was curious as to why he thought about us, maybe because they view Jane as a child of theirs and Renesmee is their 'princess'.

She's getting close to Aro and Marcus, they spoil her rotten and she loves it. I was taken out of my thoughts by someone tapping my shoulder, I turned around and saw Jane. She had a shy smile on her face and a hand behind her back, I looked at her confused. "I got you something, it's not much but I just wanted to show how much I appreciated and love you." I smiled at her and she brought her hand forward, in her hand was a small box. She opened it and there was a key, I looked at her confused. "It's a key to a tiny house by the castle, I had it built about two weeks ago. It's still on castle grounds and Renesmee can still see Aro. But it's so you, we have our own space away from everyone. It's soundproof except in Renesmee's room, so we have privacy." She smirked a little at that, I hugged her tightly.

"I love you so much, you didn't need to do this. I love your room no matter what, but I think it'll be good for us." She hugged back and hummed, I pulled back and kissed her softly. She kissed back and pulled me close, I wrapped my arms around her neck. We pulled away when there was a cough, we looked and saw it was Carlisle. I didn't know they were still in Volterra, let alone the castle. I kept my arms wrapped around Jane's neck and her arms were around my waist, I raised my eyebrows. "Can I help you, Carlisle?" He looked between me and Jane, before just looking at me.

"Esme and I are here to pick up, Renesmee, we have the right to keep her. She is our granddaughter and we won't let some slut keep her away from us and her family." I looked at Jane and she knew to go get Aro, I pulled away from her and threw Carlisle to the ground. I twisted his arm back and stepped in the middle of his back, if he tried to move his arm would be ripped off. Before I could do anything else Aro was there, he gently moved me off Carlisle and stood him up. I could tell by the satisfied smirk Carlisle had on his face, that he thought Aro was on his side.

"Is it just Esme with you, Carlisle?" Carlisle shook his head and kept his eyes on me, "No, King Aro. The whole family is with me, we have come get our child. She is the closest thing we have to Edward, that slut got him killed." Aro hummed and nodded, looking at us than him. "Go get them and meet me in the room, girls follow." We follow him as Carlisle leaves, he sits down on his throne and the queens come in, standing behind their husbands. "We will wait till the Cullens come in to say the news, I think you girls will love it." The Cullens walked in, and Rosalie and Emmett looked tired and annoyed. Esme looked pissed and she glared at me, Alice was also glaring at me. I rolled my eyes and looked at Aro, he smiled his wide smile.

"Ah yes, thank you for joining us. We have news to tell you, the kings and queens are stepping down. We will still be in the castle but no longer in charge, we have talked and we know who we are passing the crowns down to." The Cullens' looked at each other, their eyes wide. "Bella, Jane please come here. As I know the Cullens are trying to take our princess, I forbid it don't worry. But we the kings and the queens, have decided you two will be in charge. We have always thought Jane would be the best, she is our strongest in many ways of the guards we trust, and you well you are her queen." Jane gasps, and the Cullens' jaw drops at the news.

The queens come over and hug us, Aro stands up and takes off his cloak putting it over Jane and Marcus gives his to me. Renesmee comes in and Caius gives his to her, it is about double her size. She smiled and hugged him, he had a very small smile and hugged back. One of the guards moved the thrones, getting rid of one and replacing it with a smaller one. Aro sits us down and gives us crowns that I've never seen them wear, he looks at Renesmee who has a tiara and she's smiling widely. We both roll our eyes and put it on, we realized we only have it since she'd have one and it was only fair.

I look over at the Cullens', Rosalie and Emmett looked impressed while the rest looked even more pissed. I held Jane's hand and smiled, the kings and queens stood by our side. "Rosalie, Emmett, I know how much you both wish to leave the coven. So join me in the Volturi, you don't need to be a guard but stay here. And Carlisle, before you talk I am now your queen, I now will forbid you from ever bringing more people in your coven, especially women. You may only have you four in the coven, any and there will be severe punishment. You may now leave, don't come back unless asked to by your queens or princess." They leave and Rosalie and Emmett stay, both of them have wide smiles. "Alec, please show them the rooms for them to choose and let's show them the kitchen where the special beverages are and have them choose." He nodded and showed them out.

I looked over and smiled at Jane, she smiled back and held my hand tightly. I think I could get used to this, I couldn't wait for my life with her, with both my girls.
