~Where is he?~

Mono isn't here yet. He's usually late but never this late. I'm starting to get worried... what if something happened to him?!
Seven was broken out of his thoughts by the Teacher trudging into the classroom. She looked just as angry as usual.
"Today class..." she began, but Seven couldn't focus. The only thing on his mind was where Mono was. The more he thought about it, the more he felt an anxious feeling clawing around his stomach.
Then, he heard the classroom door open. He looked over and saw a skinny boy wearing a paper bag on his head standing in the doorway. Suddenly, all Seven's anxiety washed away, Mono was here now. But as quickly as it left, some of that anxious feeling came back as Seven thought, why is he so late?
He saw Mono hand the Teacher a piece of paper. She looked over it then nodded, and Mono went to his desk. As he was sitting down, a bunch of the kids in the class started throwing paper balls at him and laughing. Mono seemed to be barely responsive, although you can't tell anything from the expressionless bag.
They do this everyday... he doesn't deserve it.
The Teacher left the room to sort something out. When she did, the kids started throwing books at him and yelling 'bag boy', 'fat dumbass' and 'faggot'.
"Hey!" Rain (it's Raincoat Girl, but I'm just calling her 'Rain' for simplicity) stood up. "Leave him alone!"
"Why are you defending him? He's worthless!" One of the kids yelled. Seven saw Mono bow his head slightly in shame.
"He isn't worthless. Just stop bothering him! How would you feel in his shoes? How would you feel about being tormented every day?"
"I think I'd need to learn to grow a pa-"
"QUIET!" the Teacher yelled as she entered the room again. "And SIT DOWN!" Rain hurried to her seat. As the classroom became pin-drop quiet, Seven could hear Mono sniffling, which made some kids around him start laughing.
As soon as class ended, Mono dashed out of the classroom, clearly quite upset. Seven noticed he left a book on his desk and grabbed it before anyone else could see it. He ran after Mono and saw him running into the bathrooms. He followed in after him and heard loud crying coming from one of the stalls.
"Mono..?" Seven called out. Suddenly the crying stopped. He heard paper rustling and Mono peaking out from behind one of the doors.
"Oh... hey Seven." he responded sadly.
"Are you... feeling okay?"
"I'm... I'm just fine."
"Then why were you crying?" Mono stayed completely silent. "You don't want to talk about it, huh?" Mono nodded. "Well, you left a book on your desk, I came to give it to you." Mono stood out of the stall.
"Thanks Seven... you didn't need to do it though."
"It's no problem. You're my friend Mono. I... I care about you." Seven was blushing lightly and, while Seven couldn't see it, Mono was blushing too. Mono started sniffling again. "Ah! Mono, what's wrong?"
"I-it's just... no one's ever said they... c-care about me before." his voice started to crack. Seven ran forward to hug him. He tightly wrapped his arms around Mono's thin waist. Mono was hesitant at first, but he eventually hugged back.
