"Please don't leave..." (Little Nightmares/Mono x Seven/School AU)

~A Trip~

"HUSH!" The Teacher yelled as she smacked her ruler against the desk, making every child in the room freeze. "In a week, this class will be going on a camping trip for 3 days. You will be in groups of 3, which I will allow you to pick as long as there are no issues." After the Teacher explained all the details, everyone in class turned to each other, except Mono who sat staring down at the table beneath him.
"Hey Seven!" Rain ran up to him and rested her hands on his desk. "Do you wanna be in a group with me?" Seven nodded.
"C-can we ask Mono too?" Seven started to blush lightly.
"You just want to be closer to your boyfriend~" Seven's face went bright red.
"He isn't my b-boyfriend."
"Whatever you say Seven." Seven looked at her angrily with his cheeks puffed out, making Rain laugh.

MONO POV (omg someone else's point of view)

I sat quietly, trying to block out the noise around me. It was so loud...
Suddenly, I felt something tap my shoulder. I looked up to see Seven smiling at me. All that noise around me faded away when I saw him. He looked like an angel.
"Hey Mono, do you want to be in a group with me and Rain? You don't have to but-"
"Of course!" I shot up out of my seat. Seven looked at me, shocked. "Oh... I'm sorry..."
"It's fine, it was... kinda cute." Seven mumbled.
HE THINKS I'M CUTE?! N-no... there's NO WAY that Seven, the sweetest angel boy this world has been blessed with, thinks that me, a mistake and a failure... is c-cute...
I felt my face heat up and I started twiddling my fingers nervously.
Seven chuckled and grabbed my hand, dragging me over to his desk. Once we got there, Rain looked at us holding hands and smirked.
"Hey boys. Whatcha doing there?" she said as she pointed at me and Seven's hands. Seven quickly pulled his hand away and crossed his arms.
"N-nothing..." Seven was blushing. I didn't want to let go off his hand... it makes me feel so safe...
"Suuurreeee." Rain chuckled.

TIME SKIP TO LUNCH TIME
SEVEN POV

Finally, the lunch bell sounded. I took Mono's hand and dragged him to the bathrooms.
When we got there, Mono sat on the floor of the cubicle and I locked the door.
"Okay, you can take your bag off now." I said, turning to Mono. He seemed scared. "Don't worry, I'm the only one who will see you." Mono sighed and slowly took his bag off. He ruffled up his hair and put his hands into his crossed lap, slightly pouting.
God he's cute...
"W-why did you take me here..?" Mono muttered.
"Because it's a place that's atleast somewhat private. It's just us, so you don't have to be all shy." I sat next to Mono and wrapped my arm around his shoulders and pulled him closer to me. He rested his head on my shoulder and cuddled up to me even more. I felt my face heating up.
"You're so warm, and comfortable..." Mono muttered, with a smile on his face. I couldn't help but smile back at him.
"Oh yeah!" I reached into my bag, and Mono watched with a confused look on his face. "You promised me you would try to eat something today, so... here." I handed him a sandwich. He looked at it and frowned.
"Do I... have to?"
"Yes. You promised you would, and it's good for you."
"B-but I'm not hungry, plus I-I have my own lunch."
"Mono, I saw you throwing your food in the bin earlier. Just... please can you do this?" Mono shifted uncomfortably. "I'll eat with you, if you think that might help."

MONO POV

I watched Seven take another sandwich out of his bag and sit next to me.
I don't want to do this... I-I can't... I'll gain too much weight... I'm already fat enough...
"Don't say that! You aren't!" Seven said. I jumped.
D-did I say that out loud..?
"You aren't fat, Mono... you're... really skinny." Seven seemed sad.
"But-"
"But nothing... please." Seven gently grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. I could tell I was blushing. "Don't listen to what those idiots say, it isn't true! None of it is! You're a smart, sweet, handsome, amazing person!"
He's just saying it because he feels bad, he doesn't mean it.
But... maybe he does. I feel like I can trust him.
Remember what happened last time you thought you could trust someone?
I suddenly felt a sharp pain across my chest. I clutched my chest and Seven noticed. He snuggled up to my side and held me close to him.
Remember... that's all your fault.
The pain became stronger.
"Are you okay?!" Seven was panicking.
"I-I'll be fine... don't worry."
Maybe that pain is a sign... a sign that you should go...
...maybe it's the right thing to do.
