"Bag boy!" a voice yelled. "We know you're in here!"
"No no no!" Mono whimpered quietly. Seven stood up and put his head out of the bathroom stall. He saw one of the kids from his class standing there, although he didn't know his name.
"Ohhh, is the good boy skipping class?" He mocked while staring at Seven.
"What do you want?"
"You seen bag boy around here? I know you hang out with that loser."
"I saw him leave school after first class. You won't find him here, just me." Seven spoke sternly.
"You lying?"
"I'm a good boy, I don't lie."
The bully growled and walked out of the bathrooms. Seven smirked confidently and turned back to Mono.
"W-why did you do that?" Mono stuttered.
"Because I knew he would do something to you, and I didn't want that."
"...thanks. For everything, Seven."
"It isn't a big deal Mono, it's what friends are for." Seven smiled at Mono. Mono took off his bag and smiled at Seven.
Agggrrrrhhhhh! He's too adorable! Seven thought as he felt his face heat up. Mono noticed this and put his bag back on.
"So you've never skipped class before, 'good boy?'" Mono mocked. Seven laughed.
"No, I... I don't really like getting in trouble."
"I usually only sit in here to get away from it all, or to cry without anyone seeing me. But sometimes they follow me in here..." Seven was sad for Mono. He wanted to help him. Seven got close to Mono and wrapped his arm around Mono's shoulders.
"You can tell me if you ever feel like that, or if you want someone to talk to. I'll always be here for you, Mono." Seven used his other hand to hold Mono's hand, making them both smile. Mono's jacket sleeve began to fall down, revealing his arms. Seven noticed something... Mono's arm up to his wrist was littered with cuts. Some looked slightly faded, but others looked like they happened relatively recently. Seven was staring, shocked.
"Is something wrong Seven?" Mono asked.
"Mono..." Seven lifted up his arm. "What are these?" Mono flinched, let go of Seven's hand and pulled his sleeve down.
"I-it's nothing! Don't even think about it, it's-" Seven grabbed Mono's skinny arm and pulled his sleeve down.
"Mono..." Seven gently ran his hand across Mono's scarred arm. "How... how long have you been doing... this?"
"I think I started when I was... eleven. So... about six years." Mono was looking down in shame. Seven was completely silent. He wrapped his arms around Mono's waist and rested his face in Mono's shoulder, trying to stop himself from crying. Mono ran his fingers through Seven's hair." I'm really sorry..."
"It's okay Mono. Just... tell me if you feel like doing it again, and we can talk! I really don't like the idea of the person I care about the most... hurting himself..." Mono wrapped his arms around Seven and held him close. After a while, Mono noticed that Seven had fallen asleep on him.
"He's... so adorable..." Mono mumbled as he brushed some hair out of Seven's face. He gently placed a kiss on his forehead and continued petting his hair.
