Aedan enters the school building first followed by Dejah and Damien who bickered behind him. They make their way over to the lockers at the end of the hallway. Aedan dig around in his locker.
Pyra enters the school building sparking up whispering in the corridor. She quietly walks down the hall and head to her locker.
"She's the Fire Nation Princess."
"I heard she almost killed a girl on her first day here."
"She's not all that."
Aedan turns around and see Pyra passing by heading to her locker which was the last one on their row of lockers. She did not even give him a look. Her face was as vacant as ever. The mumbling and stares didn't faze her, well that's what the outer appearance gave off.
Dejah and Damien had stopped talking and started to watch her as well.
Dejah glances around at the staring students who still was muttering nonsense to one another and back towards Pyra.
"Boy I tell ya, this school is just like any other. The rumors and gossiping never stops no matter where we are." Dejah implies rolling her eyes as she shuts her locker door.
"Yea, they still on ole girls' neck about yesterday huh?" Damien adds in with an annoyed tone.
Aedan shuts his locker and walks off.
Dejah and Damien stare confusingly at him.
"Hey Pyra wait up!" Aedan yells out as he jogs up to her.
Pyra ignores him and continue walking. She clutches a book to her chest and steady eye the path ahead. Aedan taking back by her actions, pesters on.
"Yesterday was something huh?" He adds in, slyly rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. Pyra still doesn't respond.
"You were great out there! Must be doing some serious practicing at home." He prates with a grin. Pyra stops in her tracks. She doesn't turn to face him, nor does she speak. It was as if everything became silent around the two. Aedan's' cheery mood descended quicky as it came. He studies the back of her head silently waiting on her to speak. Pyra just stands their stiffly. Him speaking of home stirred a few emotions in her and she didn't know how to respond to him. She was a bit annoyed and irritated with how he approached her though.
"C'mon Aedan were going to be late for our second day of class!" Dejah beams as she walks beside him and clenches her arm around his; Damien following behind her. Aedan jumps surprised but continue to let Dejah pull him away. He glances back and sees that Pyra had already walked off.
'She's gone.' He noted disappointedly. Dejah still clutching to his arm was smiling happily as they treaded down the hall.
Ms. Rasha leans against the wall on the opposite side of the hallway heading in a different direction of the school. She had watched the little encounter between Aedan and Pyra and wanted to see if the boy could get a reaction out of her. She clutched a folder to her chest and gazed up to the ceiling.
{FLASHBACK}
Pyra breathes in and out slowly in the middle of the floor as her battle with Toby had ended. Everyone was watching her shockingly, not one word was said. She held her head low as her eyes change back to their normal golden irises. 'After gaining her composure back she lifts her head and notices Mr. Yoshi standing beside her.
She then notices all the students looking at her and she stares back collectedly.
Rasha was just as shocked as everyone else. She eyed Pyra peculiarly. 'Fire Nation Princess, huh?' she ruminates.
