Diary of the Hidden Queen

We settled down again. We are now living in Alaska. It at least is very secluded where we are living. Lots of wilderness. The house is on the out skirts of the town. I think it's called North Pole. It's a few miles southeast of Fairbanks. This is actually the furthest north we have been. Both Kieran and I were born in the southern part of the US. Kieran has been trying to choose areas that are similar to that but of course we can't stay in the same area.

Now that I am getting older, I am really beginning to wonder how we could afford all the moving. I don't remember seeing Kieran or Pernilla ever have a job. I'm sure both of them are getting some sort of pay for watching over me. Maybe being that I am supposed to be queen, they are getting some sort of funding from the kingdom. True we are magical but we only wield elemental magic. We can't make money appear or alter minds. At least I don't think so.

This morning while we were settling into our home, I found a cat roaming around our back porch. She is all grey except for a white stripe down her belly and white on her paws. She has been by myside since I found her. Kieran says that we can't keep her. With our life style, she would be more of a hassle. For now though, he said I can keep her in the house. I honestly think he wants to keep her. She seems to like him. Pernilla on the other hand, is another story. She hates the cat and the cat hates her. It's actually funny to watch them get mad at each other. We haven't named the cat yet, but Kieran did go out and buy her food, a collar, and some toys.

I can only hope to be able to keep her for a long time. I fear the day that we have to move. She needs a home but so do we all. I am starting to get sick of the moving. I understand that the way I lived my life is for my protection but I want what every child and teen has. They have a home. I've dreamt that my entire life. The least I could do is give that dream to this lovely cat.
