The screen lit up far too brightly in the living room. Always the news. Determined to make sure that her face was never on it.

Number one hero, Dynamite, and his team swooped in to save the day again when the bridge collapsed, causing everyone on it to be trapped in the rubble...

"They are getting too unruly again." She rolls her eyes and pulls her long hair into a high ponytail. "Is it even my job at this point to stop them? The heroes should be taking care of it." If they actually cared about peace, they would have found them already. She shakes her head and pulls the mask over her eyes. Work is never done.

She gets out of the apartment and slips into the darkness.

Kukumi Ariga - QUIRK LIVING SUN KUKUMI CAN GENERATE FIRE FROM HER BODY AND MANIPULATE IT AS SHE PLEASES VIGILANTE/VILLAIN NAME - THE SERAPH

This definitely doesn't pay as well as pro hero work did, but she can follow her own rules, and she likes it that way. School showed her that in order to do right, you had to jump through the hoops of whoever was in charge, and she hated it that way. Kukumi knew her quirk could have taken her to the top, but if it meant saving people by anyone else's terms, no one really got saved.

She dropped out six months before she was supposed to graduate from UA and immediately dropped off the grid. Everyone who knew her thought she was dead. What she was actually doing was training as hard as she could to get to a level where she could run from anyone without fear her power would go berzerk. Now her life is all about seeing everything the heroes can't see. And if being a Vigilante means that she is ultimately a Villain, so be it.

Kukumi rounds the corner, finally stepping onto the main street. Everything is far deader than she expected it to be. Then again, it is way later than her usual "patrol." After taking out some guys trying to rob a bank last night, she thought she deserved to sleep in, but that meant far fewer people. Maybe I missed something. The city is full of heroes; you sleeping in means they actually get to do their jobs.

The night aged on, and cold bit at the exposed flesh on her arms, legs, and torso. Thanks to her quirk, she isn't chilly, but if anyone saw her in what is essentially a tube top and shorts, they would think she would freeze. "Nice to finally have a night where nothing happens." She breathed, not feeling the shift in the air around her. Someone is watching her.

Kukumi rolls her shoulders before stretching. Time to take the long way back to her home. Maybe get to bed before 5 this time. That would be nice; it has been at least a month. Having nothing to do is unusual, but she suspected that the bridge collapse and the point of fingers at the League of Villains were enough to make anyone hide in their homes for the night. Her long hair pulled at her scalp in the ponytail, but she had to wait until she got to an alley to take it out and get some relief.

That's when she heard it, the footsteps behind her. Maybe it is just a late working civilian. She holds her pace, knowing that her dragon scale chainmail top, black shorts, black mask, and combat boots stood out as either a hero or a villain on these streets.

"Seraph." Their voice is melodic low enough to put her on edge but high enough to not make her flee.

They know. They know they know they know. Shit. Her name isn't common enough for any civilian to know. But only a select few heroes have had encounters with her, and she did her best to dance around her name in those situations. So how does this person know her name? Kukumi turns, taking a deep breath to try and smooth her nerves. She is met with a man with wild green and black hair and a face full of freckles. There is a scar from his jaw down to his neck on the left side of his face. He is dressed far too nicely for a late-night stroll. Kukumi knew him. This is...

"Deku?"

He smirks at the name, "glad to know you have heard of me."

In the underground, the rumor is that he is the leader of the League of Villains. And is the high school kid from UA who had gone missing during the first string of kidnappings after Allmight was murdered by One for All. But then again, the country was plunged into chaos right around then.

"Can I help you with something?" Her voice is not as strong as she wants it to be. Truly she prays this guy wants nothing to do with her, but it would not be the first villain to personally tag her because she got in the way.

Deku chuckled, "you can come with me, and we can have a talk. Like adults do. I don't like to cause a scene."

A scene? This place may have been public, but there is no one here. Not a soul around. Then the glint of cameras mounted on posts paired with something on Deku's waistband. It could be easy, killing her, and the heroes would write it off as a vigilante getting in over their head.

"Lead the way, but if you know anything about me, leading me into a trap will end poorly for you."

He chuckles again, turning around and clasping his gloved hands behind his back, "now I am far from an animal, Seraph. A gentleman like me would never do something like that to someone as valuable and powerful as you."

Fancy words for someone with a gun on his hip. Kukumi swallows but sets her jaw as she follows him into the darkness of the night. Into the belly of the beast then.
